If you love hunting for rare treasures in Prospecting on Roblox, knowing where to dig can make all the difference. Some spots are packed with valuable ores, mythics, and even exotic finds, but only if you have the right shovel and know when to be there. In this guide, we’ll go over the best digging locations in the game, what makes them special, and a few tips to help you get the most out of every dig.
Shovel Toughness
Every shovel in the game has a toughness level, and certain areas require higher toughness to dig there.
- Toughness 1 – You can dig in places like Rubble Creek.
- Toughness 2 – 4 – Opens up more challenging areas.
- Toughness 5 – Lets you dig anywhere in the game.
For example, the Dragon Flame Shovel is toughness 5, which is currently the highest. If you’ve got that, no spot is off-limits.
The Infernal Heart
The Infernal Heart is the best digging spot in the game. You’ll find it behind a locked door in the Magma Furnace.
- It opens 15 minutes past every hour, and it stays open for 30 minutes.
- Requirement – Toughness 5 shovel.
- This is the only place you can find the exotic Dinosaur Skull (super rare) and four different mythics: Volcanic Core, Flare Bloom, Infilum, and Payite.
If you’re online when it’s open, drop everything and get in there.
Azorite Oasis
Azorite Oasis is a hidden gem inside the Crystal Caverns. When you enter the caverns, head down to the Oasis, and you’ll see a big blue tree in the middle. This spot is special because it’s the only known location for Prismara. Always dig on the middle island.
Magma Furnace
If the Infernal Heart isn’t open, the rest of the Magma Furnace area is still worth your time. You won’t get the Dinosaur Skull here, but it’s still a high-level area with good drops.
Fortune River Delta
For pure mythic drop rates, Fortune River Delta is the lucky spot. It can give up to ten mythics from here, including Payite, Vortessence, and Pink Diamond.
River Rapids Event
If you ever get the River Rapids event in your server, drop what you’re doing and head to the Fortune River Delta (or Fortune River). The event makes the water rush like crazy and gives you double items while it lasts.
Windswept Beach
The Windswept Beach can also be great for digging. You’ll find it near an NPC with a mission, close to a big dinosaur skull. Worth checking out when you’ve got time.
Digging for Specific Items
While some areas are generally better than others, you should always check the item lists for each location. If you’re targeting a specific item, make sure the area you’re digging in actually drops it. Otherwise, you’ll waste your time.
- Cat Eye – Found in the Fortune River, but not in the Fortune River Delta.
- Prismara – Only in Azorite Oasis.
- Dinosaur Skull – Only in Infernal Heart.
You should always be working toward better tools, charms, and accessories. Aim for items like the Prismatic Star, the best crown (Fossilised Crown), or the rarest ores. Every dig should move you closer to your next upgrade.
