Explore all five Knight Tombs in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon as part of the Royal Geographers faction questline. From unlocking sealed tombs with legendary relics to battling undead knights and uncovering Arthurian lore, this guide covers every location, requirement, and reward—helping you claim powerful gear and complete one of the game’s most rewarding side quests.
How to Access All Knight Tombs in the Royal Geographers Questline

The Royal Geographers questline begins in the Horns of the South, where players can start uncovering the hidden tombs of the Knights of the Round Table. These ancient sites are sealed and require specific relics from Arthurian legend to unlock — such as the Excalibur Seal for Lancelot, Palamedes’ Shield for Gawain and Dagonet, and the Crown Seal for Galahad and the Knight That Never Came. Access to the first tomb becomes available after obtaining Excalibur, the first fragment of King Arthur’s soul, during the “A World to Win” quest. Completing these trials is key to progressing the story and earning high-tier weapons and armor.
Gawain’s Tomb

Once you’ve cleared the main questline in the Cuanacht region, follow the road west from the main city. When you reach a bridge over a river, stop at the center and look north — there’s a ledge you can drop down to. Tucked behind some rocks, you’ll spot the entrance to Gawain’s tomb. This one throws a mix of enemies at you, including Dryads, so stock up on antidotes beforehand. Near the end, you’ll face the Green Knight, Sir Bertilak, and then battle the undead Sir Gawain himself. Defeating both grants you access to their unique gear.
Lancelot’s Tomb

You’ll find Sir Lancelot’s tomb off the eastern coast of the Horns of the South, not far from the All-Mother’s temple. Head down to the shoreline, swim around the peninsula, and look for a small camp with ruins and a few Drowners nearby. There’s also a sketchy merchant hanging around outside — feel free to browse his goods. To open the tomb, interact with the Excalibur seal by the entrance. Inside awaits a challenging encounter with the mourning spirit of Lancelot. After you defeat him, you’ll earn his legacy and meet a mysterious figure named Fionola, who introduces the Royal Geographers and nudges you toward finding the rest of the tombs.
Galahad’s Tomb

After completing the two Forlorn Swords quests (Divided We Fall and The Long Defeat), you’ll gain access to the final two Royal Geographer tombs. Galahad’s is found on the northeast edge of the Forlorn Swords area, just below the Seat of the Elders — a location you’ll naturally come across during the main campaign. The tomb is packed with undead enemies, and at the end lies the powerful Sir Galahad. Defeating him nets you his sword and armor. You’ll also get another visit from Fionola, and this time you can press her for more details about her ties to Caradoc. It’s worth asking.
Dagonet’s Tomb

To find Sir Dagonet’s resting place, teleport to the Forlorn Gate in northeast Cuanacht and make your way northeast. Stick to the left-hand side along the cliffs and climb a small hill to reach the tomb. If you haven’t uncovered the spot yet, you can take the northern road on horseback until you find it. This tomb stands out from the others — it’s a trap-filled dungeon with gothic flair and lots of illusions. Navigate carefully through the tricks and traps, cross a fragile wooden bridge, and continue along the narrow path to reach Dagonet’s final chamber. There’s a quirky surprise waiting, courtesy of the Jester Knight himself.
The Tomb of the Knight That Never Came

The last tomb has a poetic name — The Tomb of the Knight That Never Came — and fans of Arthurian myths will likely recognize this as a reference to Mordred, Arthur’s infamous son. Inside, you’ll battle through groups of undead until you meet a mysterious man named Govannon. He’ll task you with finding a missing chisel. After that, you’ll fight the ghostly Sir Vast. Completing these tasks unlocks access to Govannon’s special shop, where you can grab endgame crafting materials and the Ashen Veil armor set. As you leave, Fionola appears one final time, bringing the Royal Geographers story to a close.
