In Resident Evil 9, the Security Manager’s Office contains the Star Quartz puzzle, which is the final piece to escaping the Care Center. In order to solve this, you will require certain items as well as assistance from Emily to read the Braille code. Get the ID Wristband Level 2
You need to start out by obtaining two transplant organs before you can progress. Once you collect them, take them to the East Wing Examination Room and put both into the corpse you’ll find there.
After placing them into the corpse, you’ll see that a zombie has appeared. Defeat this zombie to receive an ID Wristband (Level 2), which allows you to open Level 2 security doors.
The only Level 2 door in the area is the door to the Isolation Ward. Unlock the door and then continue through the Isolation Ward until you arrive at the office of the Security Manager.
Find the Star Quartz Puzzle Code
A note can be found on a table in the Security Manager’s office. Once you retrieve that note, you will see the first portion of the Star Quartz code. If you immediately interact with the note again, it will fold from one end and reveal the full code required to complete the Star Quartz puzzle.
Interact with the Star Quartz Puzzle Box that’s in the right corner of the Security Manager’s office. Unlike the other puzzle boxes, this one has Braille buttons, which means that you cannot enter the code directly into this box yourself.
After a short cutscene, you will receive the ID Wristband (Level 3), which unlocks Level 3 security doors.
Use Emily to Solve the Puzzle
Now, get back to the Guard House through the central hallway, then you’ll be able to save the game. Go downstairs and unlock Emily’s cell with the wristband you’ve gotten from the Security Manager’s office. Now talk with her about lending assistance and she will accompany you back to the Isolation Ward to read the Braille codes and solve the puzzle.
If zombies are still roaming the area, place Emily in the guard office and clear the path first. Once you reach the Security Manager’s Office, Emily will begin entering the code into the puzzle box while you fight off zombies outside.
After the fight, Emily will call you back and a cutscene will trigger. This leads to a new area called the Basement. After completing that section, you will receive the Star Quartz.
Return to the Care Center exit, insert the Star Quartz into the door, and you’ll finally be able to escape the area.
