The scrap feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ allows you to gather resources from junk objects when scavenging the containers within a game match. The resources thus gathered can be used to craft other items through the 3D Printer. But the process is automatic and not manual. In this guide, we will explain how scrapping works, how traits can increase the resources you collect, and how to keep these materials in your Stash.
How Scrapping Traits Work

Scrap is used in an unusual way in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. The player cannot disassemble objects he does not need and gain resources for it. Instead, some objects that you get from loot containers will be converted into ingredients for the 3D Printer automatically. The items that you will get by scrapping for the 3D Printer are:
- Synthetics
- Electronics
- Chemicals
- Metals
These resources will help you produce various items within the 3D Printer. But getting these resources in the middle of the battle will not be enough for you. It is necessary to successfully exfil them and move them to the stash in the hub world; otherwise, you will lose all the resources gathered during that game. Some attributes provide additional resources from the scrapped item. The Resource Pocket is one of them.
However, the effect of this attribute will work automatically, meaning there is no need to perform any additional actions for it. It might be hard to see the additional amount in the main interface. Nevertheless, after unlocking the attribute mentioned above, the player may receive six instead of one. It is possible to see this bonus in the resource notification on the right side of the screen.
Therefore, if you have some characteristics that boost scrapping, you should pay attention to the resource notification during looting. The system does its job quietly without showing any immediate changes on the main interface.
