Unlocking hidden treasures and powerful gear is a staple of any good RPG, and Avowed is no exception. Among the many secrets tucked away in its world is the Sarcophagus, a mysterious container holding the coveted Spirit Mender armor. However, obtaining this reward requires more than just finding the Sarcophagus itself; you’ll need to track down its elusive key, hidden deep within the treacherous Garden. This guide will walk you through the precise location of both the Sarcophagus and the Sarcophagus Key, ensuring you don’t miss out on this valuable piece of equipment.
Sarcophagus key Location
You can find the Sarcophagus in a diamond-shaped room southwest of the Enclosed Grove Camp. From the party camp, go through the large double doors, you’ll enter a room with a tall pillar and a winding staircase. Head down the stairs, and near a shallow pool of water at the bottom, you’ll spot a small divot in the wall. That’s where the Sarcophagus is. To unlock it, you’ll need the Sarcophagus Key, which can be found on a corpse along the path to the Strangled Adra in the Garden.
Getting there is pretty straightforward. From the Sarcophagus room, continue following the main story until you reach a door blocked by Maegfolc and some essence generators. Once you make it through, go into the room on your right. Be ready, you’ll have to take down some skeletons and spiders first.
After the fight, a door will open on the other side of the room, leading to another pool of water. Dive in, and you’ll find two paths underwater. Take the path on the left. When you surface, you’ll see climbable terrain along the left wall. Cross over and look for an opening blocked by some burnable vines. Burn the vines, then freeze the water below to create a solid path leading into the opening. Not far from there, you’ll come across a corpse on the ground, and that’s where you’ll find the Sarcophagus Key.

Now that you’ve got the Sarcophagus Key, it’s time to head back to the Sarcophagus and claim your reward, the Spirit Mender, a unique piece of medium armor.
