Behind every crumbling ruin and frozen peak in Pywel lies a story and usually a legendary reward. Whether you’re tracking down a cryptic map or braving the environmental hazards of a long forgotten Sanctum, the path to victory isn’t always a straight line. If you’ve found yourself stuck at the Sanctum of Renunciation, don’t worry. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of cleansing the Sanctum of Renunciation.
Sanctum of Renunciation Location
Head to this location shown in the above map in the Tashkalp region, you’ll reach the Sanctum of Renunciation. The sanctum is occupied by enemy forces, you’d have to liberate the sanctum first before proceeding with the cleansing of the sanctum.
Note : Do carry a bunch of arrows as there will be flying mages as well, shooting them with arrows will make them fall and then you can kill them. I really hate them, they are so annoying.
Cleansing the Sanctum of Renunciation
To cleanse the sanctum, you are going to need to find the missing two pieces of the sanctum which are a power cell ( looks like a cube ) and the head of one of the pillars of the sanctum.
Where to find the missing pieces?
From where the sanctum is, make your way to the marked room shown in the above image and you’ll find yourself with the sidewalls which have been barred with fences in the room.
On the right sidewall, there’s a small entrance just near the door from which you’ve entered the room from the sanctum. Go through the entrance and you’ll see the cell on the upper deck. You can use the Abyss Chain and Seal the power cell through Kaku pot.
The left sidewall also contains a small gap in the fence for you to enter. As with the power cell, this one also has an upper deck where you’ll find the missing headpiece of the pillar. Use the kaku pot here as well and seal the headpiece.
Solving Sanctum of Renunciation Puzzle
Remove the headpiece from the kaku pot’s inventory and place it on the broken pillar. You don’t need to turn it as it will automatically align itself. Once you have the headpiece in place, climb on top and use Aerial Force Palm and this will push the broken piece in place.
Fixing the power cell is similar to the headpiece but you simply can’t just have the cube in place and use Force Palm to push it back. It’s kind of blocked by a spire, so you’d need Force Current skill. What this does is, it will let you pass the force palm through the abyss chain onto the object. So use the force palm while the abyss chain is still attached to the power cell and when it is in place.
After you’ve done that, stand on the platform that’s in front of the sanctum, this will cleanse the Sanctum of Renunciation.
