Throne and Liberty’s second dungeon, the Roaring Temple, opens at level 30, and you will need to team up with other players for some of the barriers and puzzles before you face the final boss. If you aren’t familiar with the dungeon, it will be very tough to defeat King Chimaerus. This guide will teach you everything you need to know to defeat King Chimaerus easily and the other bosses – Ancient Berserk Dark Enforcer and Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard.
How to Get into Roaring Temple Dungeon
The Roarin Temple is a challenging dungeon that needs you to have excellent gear (at least a Gearscore of 900) to enter. If you don’t have gear that strong, you must explore the game further to get better equipment. The dungeon is divided into several sections. You’ll start at the entrance and encounter the first barrier. After that, you’ll face a pit with a device called a Mana Fluid Regulator and another barrier. You’ll discover a second pit with another Regulator and a third barrier. Then, you’ll fight the first boss. After a checkpoint, you’ll navigate a section with flame pillars. Next, you’ll face the second boss and a final barrier before reaching the arena for the final boss.
How to Defeat the First Boss – Ancient Berserk Dark Enforcer
The Dark Enforcer frequently screams, “I’ll burn your souls,” and then sets at least one of the players on fire. To put out the flames, you must jump into the water. It’s a good idea for the tank to fight near the water not to lose control of the boss if someone gets set on fire. He can target ranged DPS players, mainly wizards, and teleport right to them. Be prepared for that during the fight.
How to Defeat the Second Boss – Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard
The second boss is the Ancient Berserk Shade Wizard, and this one can be rather infuriating. It summons more enemies and tests how well players cooperate. The Shade Wizard sometimes yells, “Fall Into Despair,” and uses a spell that makes it hard to see how much health you have left. Don’t worry; stay close to the healers, and you’ll be okay.
The boss will also keep summoning Ancient Zombie Mutts. You should know how to deal with them by now, but just in case, the best way is to lead them around or have the off-tanks (melee DPS) take their attention.
How to Defeat the Final Boss – King Chimareus
At the bottom of Roaring Temple, you will find a circular arena. King Chimaerus is waiting for players there. One notable thing in the arena is that the chains hang down, and you can swing on them later when you fight King Chimaerus. Now, let’s discuss some essential things related to the battle.
Skills of the King Chimareus
The final boss has several attacks:
- Pounce: It jumps forward and attacks a random player. Tanks must keep the boss focused on them to protect the other players.
- Spit: It spits three pools of acid or poison that you need to avoid.
- Petrifying Gaze: It looks at a player and turns them to stone. Then, it shoots fireballs at the stunned player. Other players can stand before the stunned player and block the fireballs to save them.
- Elemental Roar: It jumps to the middle and roars, which hurts everyone in the arena with fire and poison. You need to stun the boss to stop it from roaring.
Defeating the King Chimareus
- There are two main things to watch out for in this fight. First, the boss can turn a player to stone. When this happens, the other players must work together to block the fireballs that the boss shoots at the stunned player. If they don’t, the stunned player will die.
- Second, the boss sometimes starts roaring, which can hurt everyone. You need to quickly stun the boss to stop it from roaring, or it will wipe out the whole group.
- Keep attacking steadily to deal damage, but be careful not to get hit by the boss’s attacks that hurt everyone. Also, protect the other players when they get stunned. If you can do these things, you can defeat the boss.
- The boss has a lot of health, so beating it might take a while. But once you do, you’ll get loot, so work together as a team to defeat it as quickly as possible.
- The only way to stop King Chimaerus’ Elemental Roar is to use the chains hanging around the arena and drop the Mana fluid.
- Be careful not to step on the poison on the ground. It will give you a status effect that worsens over time and does much damage.
