With the launch of the Cold Snap update, ARC Raiders has introduced a new quest titled “Paving the Way.” In this short, location-based quest, you’ll need to find a certain ENELICA building and follow the clues left by a missing researcher to complete the quest. This guide will explain where to look and what to collect, so you can complete the quest quickly and safely.
ENELICA Building Location and First Objective
The quest is given to you by Apollo. In the beginning of the quest, players must enter an ENELICA building, which can be found within the Dam Battlegrounds, the Buried City, or the Blue Gate map. Very often while on active raids, players miss seeing these buildings, primarily because their attention is directed towards dodging Arc enemy attacks.
A typical site to find the building would be the Maintenance Bunker on the Blue Gate map. You’ll find it situated beside a tall, free-standing building that sits directly across from an extraction point rather than integrated within a more developed area.
Locate the notice board that is mounted inside the ENELICA building. A note from a researcher will be pinned to the notice board. To progress in the quest, you will have to interact with it.
Buried City Rooftop Objective
Following the interaction with the notice board, navigate towards Piazza Roma on the Buried City map. Your target is the apartment block that sits directly over the Convinio. Once you enter the building, make your way through the floors until you reach the rooftop.
The objective completes when you reach the highest part of the building, where you’ll find a garden area nearby. There’s no additional interaction required at this point.
After completing the rooftop section, return inside the building and locate the researcher’s flat. Inside the room, you’ll find the research data. Pick it up to complete the quest.
