MH Wilds Monster Fluid – How to Get

In the vast wilderness of Monster Hunter Wilds, clever hunters realize that even the most mundane materials can play a vital role in crafting and enhancement. Among these vital resources is Monster Fluid, a material that is extracted from certain small monsters. This walkthrough will explain how to effectively harvest Monster Fluid, identifying the most optimal locations and monsters to hunt, so you’re adequately prepared for your hunting trips.

How to Get Monster Fluid in MH Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can get Monster Fluid by taking down certain small monsters like Bulaqchi, Vespoids, and low-rank Lala Barina. Unlike some materials you can snag with your Slinger, you’ll have to defeat these creatures to collect the fluid. There’s also a chance to earn Monster Fluid as a quest or hunt reward, but hunting these specific monsters is the most reliable way to get it.

Monsters that Drop Monster Fluid:

  • Bulaqchi:
    • Plains
  • Lala Barina (Low Rank):
    • Forest
    • Wyveria
  • Nerscylla Hatchling:
    • Cliffs
    • Comaqchi Cliffs
  • Vespoid:
    • Forest
    • Basin
    • Cliffs
    • Wyveria

Best Locations to Find the Monster Fluid

The fastest way to gather tons of Monster Fluid in Monster Hunter Wilds is by hunting Nerscylla Hatchlings in the Iceshard Cliffs region. These small spiders spawn in large groups, and each one drops 1x Monster Fluid when defeated, making it easy to stock up quickly.

You’ll find plenty of Nerscylla Hatchlings in Areas 4 and 5, with a few also appearing in Area 2 — all located on the bottom layer of the Iceshard Cliffs. To track them, use the “Filter Icons” option on your map, which you can navigate with the D-Pad or A/D keys. Just keep in mind that where there are Hatchlings, the much larger and more dangerous Nerscylla might not be far behind — so be ready for a fight!

Early on, the best way to get Monster Fluid is by hunting Bulaqchi in the Windward Plains. You’ll usually find them in Area 1, just to the right of the base camp. To make things easier, you can use the material filter on your detailed map to set a waypoint, and your Seikret will guide you straight to them. Since Bulaqchi are small and don’t fight back, just take them out and carve them for materials.

Later on, you can also farm Vespoids in Areas 6 and 8 of the Scarlet Forest, as well as in other regions like the Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, and Wyveria.

Alternatively, you can hunt Vespoids, which show up in the Forest area not long after you leave the Windward Plains. There are plenty of them, and while the chances of getting Monster Fluid from Vespoids are lower compared to Bulaqchi, they spawn in larger groups and cover a wider area — giving you more opportunities to gather what you need.
