Khmer Pipeworks Puzzle Solution Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

In Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, the Khmer Pipeworks puzzle is a critical challenge in the “Kid Who Vanished” Fieldwork quest. As you track down Aran, who is trapped in the Khmer Warrior Temple, you’ll need to solve a series of complex puzzles, including activating water sources, manipulating giant cogwheels, and assembling pipe segments to unlock new areas. Complete the final puzzle to free Aran, discover an ancient relic, and continue your adventure in this thrilling exploration of ancient mysteries.

Highlights

  • Start The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest by tracking Aran to Wat Si Sawai, solving various puzzles along the way to find him trapped in the Khmer Warrior Temple.
  • Solve complex pipe puzzles, activate water sources, and work with Gina to move giant cogwheels and unlock new areas within the temple.
  • Complete the final pipe puzzle to reach Aran, discover an ancient relic, and return to Uncle Sunan, concluding the quest with Aran continuing his exploration.

The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork Quest

Once you trigger The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest, follow the map marker to the area near Tongdang’s Hut to begin your search for Aran. As you explore, continue moving forward until you spot the Tree House.

  • Climb the ladder, lift the wooden plank inside, and you will find a letter from Aran. The letter reveals that Aran is somewhere in Wat Si Sawai, so head there by using a boat or any nearby fast-travel sign.
  • Upon reaching Wat Si Sawai, make sure to wear the Royal Army outfit from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to safely reach the Khmer Warrior Temple. If you don’t have the outfit, you will need to sneak around or fight your way in.
  • Once inside the temple, keep going until you find a room with rubble in the centre and hear Aran’s voice. He will explain that he is stuck and needs your help. To assist him, turn left and rotate the lever with Gina to open the door.
  • Use a lighter to ignite the wood and see better. Next, find the only Pipe Segment and place it in the pipe slot to allow water to flow, which will unlock the nearby door. Finally, head to the next room where you will encounter a stuck platform. Aran will tell you that you need to lift it to reach him.

From the platform, walk forward and turn left, stepping onto the frozen cogwheels to reach another area. Approach the fallen beam and climb up the hill to the left. Continue walking until you find a wooden platform that is part of a giant cogwheel. Jump onto it quickly, then leap to the next space ahead. Now wait for Gina to cross, and once she does, jump down to find another Pipe Segment puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Khmer Pipeworks Puzzle

To solve the puzzle, start by turning the wheel on the left side to activate the water source. Then, grab the Pipe Segment and place it in the pipe slot in front of the closed door to open it. Inside, you will find another half-circle Pipe Segment. Exit the room and place the new Segment on the ground for now. Take the first Segment and place it in the other slot, then place the half-circle Segment in the first slot, facing west.

Finally, work with Gina to push the giant cogwheel and pull the lever underneath to escape the room. With the platform raised, your next task is to find Aran. After solving the puzzle, head left to walk along the now-activated cogwheels, making your way up the tree root. Wait for the cogwheel to turn, revealing an opening, and then pass through it. Use a combination of jumping and swinging with the whip to reach the large cogwheel, which you will need to crawl under.

Go through the door and pull the lever to help Gina up. With the next door closed Indy and Gina must rotate the lever together to open it. Descend the stairs, walk past the cogwheels, and turn right. Pull the nearby lever to create a bridge, cross it, and you will find a large pipe puzzle waiting. Solve the puzzle to finally meet with Aran.

  • Pipe A: Go to the room on the right and pick up the first pipe from the floor.
  • Pipes B & C: Climb the stairs in the main area, jump across the stone platforms, and collect the two pipes on top of the pillars.
  • Find a ladder in the puzzle area that leads to a water switch. Turn it on to open a locked door on the left. Inside, you will find the final pipe.

Arrange the Pipes for the Locked Door

  • Pipe A: Curved pipe from the right-side room.
  • Pipe B: Curved pipe from the pillar.
  • Pipe C: Three-way pipe from the pillar.
  • Pipe D: The pipe was found in the left-side room after unlocking the door.
Placement
  • Slot 2: Place Pipe C, facing north.
  • Slot 4: Place Pipe A or B, facing east. And collect the Pipe D.

Rearrange the Pipes

  • Slot 4: Place Pipe D, facing south.
  • Slot 3: Place Pipe A or B, facing north.
  • Slot 1: Place the remaining curved pipe, facing east.

Ensure water flows into all three drains. Once done, the puzzle will be complete. Once the Khmer Pipes puzzle is solved, head through the newly opened door to meet Aran. After a brief conversation, follow him to the secret room he discovered, where you will find an Ancient Relic. Finally, return to Uncle Sunan in the village and inform him that Aran stayed at the temple to continue his exploration, completing The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest.

Tips

  • Activate the Water Sources First: Start by turning the wheel on the left to activate the water source. This will unlock the door and set up the rest of the puzzle.
  • Find the Pipe Segments: There are several Pipe Segments scattered throughout the temple. Be sure to check every room, including areas that seem inaccessible at first, like those behind rubble or locked doors.
  • Work with Gina: Some sections of the puzzle require cooperation with Gina. Whether it’s moving large cogwheels or pulling levers together, teamwork is crucial for progression.
  • Solve the Pipe Arrangement: The key to solving the final puzzle is proper pipe placement. Ensure that each Pipe Segment is facing the correct direction to allow water to flow into the drains.
  • Use the Ladder: When you encounter a locked door, look for a ladder that leads to a water switch. This will unlock a door to find the last missing pipe.
  • Check All Paths: After solving each section, ensure you explore every area for potential pipe segments, switches, and levers that will help you unlock the next part of the puzzle.
