If you’re working for the Dark Brotherhood questline in Oblivion Remastered, you’ll eventually get a contract to take out a tough Khajiit named J’Ghasta in Bruma. This quest, called “Broken Vows,” isn’t as easy as it sounds J’Ghasta is no ordinary target. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to find him, how to prepare, and the easiest way to complete the mission without getting defeated.
Khajiit J’Ghasta in Broken Vows
J’Ghasta is a Khajiit boxer who lives in Bruma. He’s actually a speaker for the Black Hand. You’ll only come across him during the Dark Brotherhood quest called Broken Vows, where you’re given a contract to take him out. According to the details, a wealthy noble from Cyrodiil wants J’Ghasta dead because he broke off an engagement with the noble’s daughter.
Khajiit J’Ghasta house in Bruma location
Your next contract is hidden inside the well in the Skingrad Castle Courtyard. This time, your target is J’Ghasta, a skilled Khajiit boxer living in Bruma. According to the dead drop, he knows you’re coming and has even bribed the guards to stay out of it if the fight spills onto the streets.
You’ll find J’Ghasta in a secret training room in the basement of his house. Look for a hatch that’s hidden under some rolls of cloth. If you can’t spot it easily, just check your local map it will show you where the door is.
When you approach J’Ghasta, he’ll tell you to leave. No matter which response you pick, he’ll attack you. Be careful even though he fights with his bare hands, he hits hard and can quickly drain your health and stamina. If you’re struggling, you might want to sneak up on him while he’s sleeping he’s usually in bed between midnight and 5 a.m. It’s much easier than fighting him in his brightly lit training room.
J’Ghasta relies on his fists and a set of Monk Spells, which are always powerful based on his skill level. Keep in mind he also has a special ability called the Black Hand Ability it gives him 50% resistance to magic and 50% resistance to normal weapons, making him a lot tougher to bring down.
