Katano Castle Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To reach Katano Castle, you’ll need to progress through the prologue until you unlock your hideout. Once you have access to it, head northwest from the hideout until you reach Katano Foothills. From there, follow the road further northwest, and you’ll arrive in Katano City, with the castle located on the eastern side.
As you get closer, a Fast Travel point will appear on your directional scale, marking a spot inside the castle, this makes it easier to find. Once Katano Castle is revealed on your map, you’ll notice multiple entry points by zooming in and spotting structures surrounded by water. The easiest way in is from the southeastern edge, where you can climb a few boxes and slip inside.
Katano Samurai Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Your mission is to assassinate two Samurai Daisho in Katano Castle. It’s best to eliminate them without being seen, though you can take them on in combat if necessary, but be prepared for a tough fight. Use Observation to identify them; they’ll have a small helmet icon above their heads. You can take them out in any order you choose.
First Samurai Location in Katano
One of the Samurai Daisho patrols the northeastern part of the castle grounds. This area has fewer guards, making it a great spot to take him out without drawing too much attention.
Second Samurai Location in Katano
The second Samurai Daisho patrols the construction area in the southeastern part of the castle. To avoid drawing attention, wait for him to enter an alley before making your move.
Katano Chest Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After eliminating both Samurai Daisho, you’ll be able to unlock the legendary chest in Katano Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The chest is located in the castle’s tower, but be careful, there are several civilians inside. While you can’t harm them, they will alert the guards if they spot you.
To reach the chest, we took a stealthy approach along the castle’s outer wall until we reached the back. Look for an open window on the left side of the wall, then climb up and hang off the ledge for a moment. Once the area is clear, climb inside and immediately open the door to your right. For extra caution, close the door behind you to avoid any surprises. Inside, you’ll find a small room containing the red Katano Castle legendary chest.
Katano Castle Key Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
You can find the Katano Castle Kura Key inside a house with a tightrope in the northeastern part of the area. There’s an enemy sitting outside, so take them out first before grabbing the key.
