How To Save Lyle in Code Vein 2

Hero Lyle is a powerful boss in Code Vein 2, found at the Pioneer Castle during the present timeline. With four arms and two swords, Lyle is a fast and dangerous boss. Defeating him will unlock the secret ending in the game. This timeline not only unlocks the secret ending but also shows the truth of the world. In this guide, we will show you how to save Lyle in Code Vein 2.

How to Complete Lyall’s Timeline Shift (Secret Ending)

Code Vein 2 has a secret ending, and to unlock it, you need to complete four timeline shift decisions during the story. When you first reach the Corroded Scar, you will meet Craig and Lyall. You need to defeat One-Armed Hero Lyle.

How to Find the Retainers

Hero Lyle is one of the main bosses in Code Vein 2. He uses two swords and has four arms. He is one of the most difficult bosses in the game. To unlock Lyle, you need to defeat two Retainers:

• Retainer 1: Found in the Limestone Caves
  
• Retainer 2: Found in the Abandoned Land

Go to Forward Base 2 and take the elevator down. This will take you to the Limestone Caves. Defeat the Retainer boss, then go to the Abandoned Land and defeat the second Retainer.  Once both are defeated, you will get the key.

How to Get the Bridge Key from Craig

After defeating the Retainers, return to Forward Base 2. Speak with Craig, and he will give you the Bridge Key. This key allows you to go to Pioneer Castle. Travel across the bridge and watch the cutscene. Speak with Lou about the Dawn Chorus Dagger. After that, enter Pioneer Castle by the left-side door and go past the small camp. Head down the stairs to continue.

Pioneer Castle is a big area, so it will take some time to reach the control room. There will be a lot of enemies inside the castle. Follow the path and defeat the Tainted Scout. After the cutscene, take the elevator back up and fight the Tainted Scout boss again. Go to the Boiler room, and this will start a time jump to the future. 

How to Fight One-Armed Hero Lyle

Interact with the Cocoon and fight the One-Armed Hero Lyle. This will start Lyle’s timeline shift. After the battle, interact with Lyle Fading Bond, and you will get to know that you need to meet him in a different timeline. Travel to MagMell and go to the 2197 timeline. Go to the Forward Base One and speak with Lyle. After the conversation, return to MagMell and go to the present timeline. 

Now, come back to Forward Base One. At Forward Base One, you will find Lyle’s Rusted Sword. Pick it up and use it to activate Lyle’s Faded Bond. This will allow you to travel back in time once more. Return to Pioneer Castle Control Room and speak with Craig. Go to the Great Sealed Mine and defeat the Pioneer Queen Imagin at the end of the mine. 

The Final Boss Fight – Hero Lyle

Travel back to the 2277 timeline and fast travel to the front of Pioneer Castle Gate Mistle. Then enter the Pioneer Castle, take the left Elevator down and speak with Craig. Then Craig will join your team. 

Now, take the elevator back up and interact with Cocoon. This will start a cutscene where you will fight Hero Lyle. Once this fight is over, Lyle’s timeline shift decision is completed. You will see a long emotional cutscene showing Lyle’s fate, his bond with Craig and how the future was protected.
