How to Revive Players in REPO

Survival in REPO is cooperative, and losing one of your people can greatly detract from your success. When a player is killed by one of the numerous monsters on the planet, he or she becomes a ‘Broken One,’ a stationary, unresponsive, and silent character. Rescuing downed teammates keeps your team strong and secures your best hope of getting back to the service ship. But revival is not just a matter of press a button, but requires teamwork, strategy, and completing certain in-game requisites. This guide walks you through the process of reviving your teammates back into the fight and maintaining your team in the game.

How to Revive Players

Whenever a REPO player is killed by one of the game’s numerous monsters, their robot character is destroyed, leaving them as a ‘Broken One’. Broken Ones can’t do anything until they get revived or the match is over. Even talking is limited, as Broken Ones are automatically kicked out of in-game voice chat.

Finding and Recovering a Teammate’s Head

Bringing a teammate back requires their head, which must be returned to the extraction point. You’ll usually find the head near where they were eliminated, open the map (press TAB) and look for a dot that matches their character’s color. This dot marks their last known location. Find the head, then pick it up as you would any other item and place it on the extraction platform.

Meeting the Loot Quota for Revival

However, it is not enough to complete the revival just to put the head. You have to finish the loot requirement to initiate a request. From there, you keep placing loot on the extraction platform. You can track your progress using the indicators on the screen, an arrow on the left points to the platform, while the top-right display shows the quota that needs to be met. If you’re playing with a larger team, reviving a fallen teammate becomes much more manageable.

Respawning and Restoring Health

Once the requirements are fulfilled, the revival process begins, and your teammate respawns at the extraction point with only 1 HP. They’ll need to step into the truck to increase their health to 25 HP.

If they manage to return to the service ship safely, their HP is fully restored, allowing them to continue playing at full strength. Coordinating with your team to recover fallen players can be a game-changer, ensuring you maintain a strong squad to tackle the game’s many dangers.

What Happens If You Can’t Revive a Teammate

If you’re unable to revive a teammate, the Broken One has no choice but to wait until either the rest of the team reaches the service ship safely and begins a new round or until all remaining teammates are eliminated. The latter is obviously the worst-case scenario, as it forces everyone to start over from scratch.

The Drawback of Automatic Respawns

If a player is not revived at the point of extraction and is automatically respawning in the next round instead, they’ll start with only 1 HP, a big setback, with REPO monsters roaming around. Thankfully, REPO has team sharing of health. If you need to aid a low-HP teammate, position yourself behind them, right-click their back, and press the left mouse button to send 10 HP. For instance, if you have 80 HP and your friend has 1 HP, one transfer will bring your HP down to 70 and theirs up to 11.

Managing Health Wisely

You can continue to repeat this process as long as required, but it is really important that you monitor your own health closely. To keep in check with your HP, look at the top-left corner of the screen, your current health is displayed next to the green plus sign. If it says 100/100, your health is as good as it gets, if it says 50/100, you’re half dead.

Though HP sharing is a good standby plan, it’s best to revive teammates the proper way, by going back to their head and taking it to the extraction point. This way, they come back with healthier reserves and are better equipped to handle the perils that lie ahead.
