Rain, rough terrain, and enemy encounters can all cause trouble along the way—especially when it comes to Timefall, a strange type of rain that accelerates the aging process. While it doesn’t directly hurt Sam, it’s terrible news for your cargo containers. Once those containers start to deteriorate, the precious items inside become vulnerable to damage.
How to Repair Cargo
To keep things intact, you’ll want to make good use of an item called the Container Repair Spray. You can create it at any facility’s equipment fabrication menu. It’s pretty affordable too—just 10 Resins and 20 Chiral Crystals.
Having one (or two) on standby is a smart move. The moment it starts raining or you see rust forming on your packages, you’ll want to act fast.
How to Use the Spray
Using the spray is simple:
- Open your equipment wheel and select the Container Repair Spray.
- Press R2 to activate it.
- Use Square to adjust the direction—whether you need to spray packages on your back or in front of you.
Once the rust fades away and the container shines, you’re good to go. Keep in mind though: this only fixes the container, not the cargo inside. If the item itself has been damaged—maybe from a fall or enemy attack—you won’t be able to repair it.
