How to Recruit Xerc in Octopath Traveler 0

Recruiting Xerc in Octopath Traveler 0 is a great choice if you want a powerful scholar on your team. He’s a bit unusual, but his knowledge of soulstones and strong elemental abilities make him extremely valuable in battle. This guide will walk you through exactly where to find him, what steps you need to follow, and why he’s such a useful party member once he joins you.

    How to Recruit Xerc

You can recruit Xerc once you finish Chapter 3: Bestower of Power. After that, travel to Grandport and look around the market area. You’ll spot Xerc standing at one of the stalls. Talk to him, and he’ll ask to borrow 10,000 Leaves. As long as you have enough money on you, he’ll join your party.

After you take part in the bidding, don’t worry, Xerc is supposed to lose, and make your way down to the port. There, you’ll find the Immoral Noble. Challenge him to a fight and defeat him. Once you win, Xerc will happily join your party.

How to Change Character Appearance in Octopath Traveler 0

He’s a scholar who spends his days studying soulstones, and most people in the academic world see him as a bit odd because of his obsession. As you unlock his support skills, he becomes even more useful in battle. His first ability boosts the power of any soulstones you use, making them hit harder. Later, he can raise a character’s elemental attack by 50, and with more progress, he can also increase their maximum SP by 50.

Eventually, he even gains a handy passive that gives you a 50% chance to spend zero SP when using skills, which can save you a lot in longer fights. His ultimate move, Soulstone’s Might, is a powerful, all-element attack. When he uses it, he blasts every enemy with fire, ice, lightning, wind, light, and dark, one hit of each making it great for breaking multiple weaknesses at once.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
