When rescuing Ulinay during Windward – Part 1, you will need to be able to navigate correctly, fight quickly, and keep track of your objectives. Located in the vicinity of the Gondola crash site, you will be dealing with survivors who are in different locations and at a high risk for danger. The steps below walk you through locating Ulinay, handling RDA threats, and pushing the quest forward.
How to Rescue Ulinay during Windward – Part 1
In this section of Windward – Part 1, you will accompany Kukulope on Ikran to investigate the Gondola crash site. After landing, your goal will be to look through the area for any Wind Traders who may have survived the crash. You will have to follow the active objective marker through the debris until finally coming upon Leykuni, who is being attacked by enemy forces from the RDA. To proceed with the quest, eliminate the enemies surrounding Leykuni and secure the area.
Once Leykuni is safe, he reveals that Ulinay survived the crash but is badly injured inside a cave nearby. The problem is that the main entrance is sealed off, leaving you with no choice but to find another way inside which is pretty easy. You’ll see a sort of rope hanging from a cliff, use it to climb up and eliminate any enemies you come across. You’ll find the alternate entrance to the cave which leads to Ulinay. After the cutscene with Ulinay concludes, the danger outside escalates. Kukulope warns you that additional RDA units have arrived, and they’re joined by a Mangkwan raider. You must defeat every enemy outside the cave before you can move on.
