How to Unlock and Use Alternate Attires in WWE 2K25
To use alternate attires, you first need to obtain them. There are two ways to do this:
How to Create
Players who want to create an alternate attire should start by going to the “Superstar” section in the Creations menu. From there, they need to select the WWE 2K25 Superstar they want to modify, choose “Attire,” pick an available attire slot, and customize it as desired.
Once all changes are made, players must press “Accept” twice to return to the “Create Your Superstar” screen. Next, they should navigate to “Personal Information” and ensure that “Use As Alternate Attire?” is set to “Yes.” Finally, pressing “Accept” twice and selecting “Save and Complete” will save the new attire.
By default, attires created this way are named “Alt. Attire.” Players who wish to rename them should follow these steps in the “Personal Information” menu:
- Set “Use As Alternate Attire?” to “No.”
- Go to “Name Information.”
- Select “Name” and enter the desired attire name.
- Press “Accept” to return to the Personal Information menu.
- Set “Use As Alternate Attire?” back to “Yes.”
How to Download
Players can download alternate attires created by other users by following these steps:
- Go to the Online menu and select “Community Creations.”
- Choose “Downloads.”
- Select “Superstars.”
- Pick a Superstar and click “Download.”
Once the custom Superstar has been downloaded, follow these steps to set it as an alternate attire:
- Open the Creations menu and select “Superstar.”
- Navigate to the “Alternate Attire” tab. If the downloaded Superstar appears here, it is already set as an alternate attire.
- If it does not appear, go to the “Superstars” tab.
- Find the downloaded Superstar, select it, and choose “Edit Superstar.”
- Open “Personal Information” and set “Use As Alternate Attire?” to “Yes.”
Important Note
Only attires applied to preset Superstars can be used as alternate attires. Many Community Creations cannot be assigned as alternate attires because they are considered entirely new wrestlers.
For example, if a player creates a brand-new version of Kane and uploads it to Community Creations, another player who downloads it cannot use its attire with the official WWE 2K25 version of Kane. Since the custom Kane is treated as a separate wrestler, the “Use As Alternate Attire?” option will not be available.
How to Equip and Use Alternate Attires in WWE 2K25
The method for using alternate attires in WWE 2K25 depends on the game mode selected. Below are the details on how to use them in compatible modes:
In Play mode, when setting up a match, players should select a Superstar with an alternate attire. After selecting the Superstar, all available attires will be displayed. Players can then choose the desired attire for the match.
Using Alternate Attires in Superstar Mode (Universe)
In the Superstar variant of Universe Mode, players can select their Superstar’s attire from the Superstar Main Menu before starting a match. To do this:
- Click “Edit Superstar.”
- Select “Attires” and choose the alternate attire.
- Press the “Save” input.
- Choose the Universe save slot where this Superstar is being used.
To change an opponent’s attire after generating a match:
- Return to the home screen.
- Select “Roster” from the Extras menu.
- Click “Edit Superstars.”
- Locate the opponent and select them.
- Click “Attires” and choose the default attire first.
- Press the “Save” input and select the Universe save slot for the match.
- Select the opponent again, go to “Attires,” and choose the desired alternate attire.
- Press “Save” again and select the Universe save slot.
After returning to Universe Mode and starting the match, the opponent should wear the selected alternate attire. If not, players may need to quit the match and repeat the process, as there can be inconsistencies in getting an opponent to wear an alternate attire in this mode.
Using Alternate Attires in Classic Mode (Universe)
For the Classic variant of Universe Mode, follow these steps to apply an alternate attire to any Superstar:
- Select “Superstars” from the Classic Main Menu.
- Find the Superstar and select them.
- Click “Attires” and choose the alternate attire.
- Press “Save” and select the Classic Universe save slot.
Changing Attire in MyGM Mode (WWE 2K25)
Players can change a Superstar’s attire in MyGM Mode by following these steps:
- Return to the home screen.
- Select “Roster” from the Extras menu.
- Click “Edit Superstars.”
- Find and select the Superstar you want to edit.
- Click “Attires” and choose the desired outfit.
- Press the “Save” input.
- Select the “Roster (for Play)” save slot.
