During Act I of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, participants will find themselves in the Gestral Village to experience a tournament of sorts. Once done with the tournament and their conversation with Golgra, they will then be allowed to exit the settlement. However, the term “back door” may cause some confusion amongst the players, and that’s where this guide comes into your rescue. With this guide, we aim to clear such confusions and assist players in leaving Gestral Village in the smoothest manner possible!
Leaving the Gestral Village in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Okay, so here’s the thing, players can get out of Gestral Village through the same portal that they entered into it, and to do this, they’ll simply need to follow the wooden slat walkway that starts at the entrance of the Chief’s House. When you reach the portal, interacting with it will return you to the Continent. Another thing players might pass by along the way is an Expedition Flag-a wonderful area to rest, boost your attributes, and acquire new skills before heading out.
Note: Before leaving Gestral Village, players might want to take some time to explore. There are some good pickups in the village, like multiple Pictos and a Recoat, which lets you respec your character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Here, players will also find a door leading into the Manor.
Where to Find the “Back Door” in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
It’s likely that your last conversation with Golgra has given you the impression that you’d have to exit through the “back door,” but this is slightly misleading. The door you have in mind is located on the Continent map, not in the village. Exiting the village will show an opened large wooden door at the southeast of the portal to Gestral Village. It takes you directly to Esquie’s Nest, where the next main area of your journey awaits.
Now that the door is unlocked, the Ancient Sanctuary can be skipped while heading back to the village of Gestral. Simply use the southeast route toward the portal for a much quicker trip. This is exactly why Golgra says visiting the Gestrals will be much easier from now on, so it’s definitely worth stopping in again if you’re around.
