How to Kill Will-o-the-Wisps in Oblivion Remastered

Will-o-the-Wisps can be pretty scary for players who aren’t sure how to handle them, and in Oblivion Remastered, these creepy enemies in Cyrodiil are going to be a real nightmare, especially when you realize your weapons aren’t doing any damage at all.

On top of how dangerous they are, you’ll actually want to take them down to grab some Glow Dust from their bodies. But to really stand a chance, you’ll need to know how to deal with all ghost-type enemies in Oblivion Remastered.

    How to Kill Will-o-the-Wisps

In Oblivion Remastered, Will-o-the-Wisps can be a real headache thanks to their overwhelming numbers and the fact that regular weapons don’t even scratch them. These ghostly enemies and others like them can only be hurt by specific types of weapons and magic.

    Willpower Oblivion Remastered Explained

    Weapons and Tools You’ll Need

To take down Will-o-the-Wisps and other ghost-type enemies, you’ll need one of the following:

    • Enchanted Weapons (crafted at Mages Guilds)
    • Spells (purchased from Mages Guilds)
    • Silver Weapons (bought from A Fighting Chance in the Imperial City Market District)
    • Daedric Weapons (looted from Oblivion Gates)
    • Hand-to-Hand Combat (if you’re a Journeyman Fighter or higher)

If you try to fight them with normal weapons, you’ll be wasting your time because they won’t take any damage at all.

    Tips for Surviving Their Attacks

Even when you’re well prepared, Will-o-the-Wisps can still pose a hazard. Their touch spells drain your health very quickly so it’s good to keep healing potions on you at all times. You don’t want to hesitate against them; attack and spam your strongest attacks until you come out victorious.
