In DOOM: The Dark Ages, you can find special gold chests hidden throughout the game. These chests give you gold, which are useful for upgrades and gear. Some chapters don’t have any gold chests, while others have one or more, hidden in secret spots. This guide will help you find all the gold chests in Chapters 8 – 10 (Abyssal Forest, Ancestral Forge, & The Forsaken Plains).
How to Get to Gold Chest in Chapter 8 (Abyssal Forest)
Chapter 8: Abysaal Forest has 1 Gold chest. Since the level is open-world, you can go to collect Gold chests in any order you like.

You can toss your shield at a green corpse high up on the left wall if you go a little further down the trail. To locate a chest with 50 Gold, go inside and leap over the opening.
How to Get to Gold Chest in Chapter 9 ( Ancestral Forge)
Chapter 9: Ancestral Forge has 2 Gold chests. Since the level is open-world, you can go to collect Gold chests in any order you like.

You will encounter three gold along the route if you continue on. Next, find five more Gold by dropping to the right, which will take you to a chest with fifty Gold.

Head straight into the tunnel, then descend from the ledge. Throw your shield at the blue gear you’ll notice when you turn around. By doing this, the platform will rise, enabling you to leap to a chest containing 50 Gold.
How to Get to Gold Chest in Chapter 10 (The Forsaken Plains)
Chapter 10: The Forsaken Plains has 2 Gold chests. Since the level is open-world, you can go to collect Gold chests in any order you like.

This 50-gold chest is located right before you reach the top of the final wall.
