The Archive door in Wave of the Future is one of those optional approaches/opportunities to complete the objective. You won’t find the code on a single sticky note – instead the level scatters clues across a locker. This guide walks you through where to find the locker containing the archive code, and how to unlock the locker – letting you open the Archive without guesswork and move on to the command center.
Archive Code Location
Follow the path down the stairs past the archive and turn left. To your left is an office you can enter freely, but you won’t be able to interact with items inside until you distract the two people in the room.
There’s a safe under the table in the office, but it’s locked – you must obtain the safe key to open it and retrieve the archive code hidden inside.
Safe Key Location
Exit the office and head away from the office until you reach the legal department; there you’ll find an eavesdropping opportunity – use it, and the staff will return to their routine.
However, the legal department’s entrance is guarded and you can’t enter directly – distract the guard by activating the printer to the left, and while he’s checking it out sneak to the desk on the right where the safe key sits; pick it up, return to the office, distract the two people there, and open the safe to retrieve the archive code.
After you retrieve the archive code, return upstairs to the archive and enter the code 1864, then press E on the dial pad to unlock it; inside you’ll find a vent that leads to the security room where you can upgrade your ID level using the machine.
