How to Get Ray Gun in Bo6 Zombies

There’s a secret way to get the powerful Ray Gun weapon very early in the game, sometimes as soon as round 3. You can find it by completing a special hidden challenge, but it depends on a bit of luck. So grab your in-game shovel and start digging – there’s a free and super-strong Ray Gun waiting for you to discover!

Dig Sites in The Tomb

Before you can start your treasure hunt for the Ray Gun, you’ll need a shovel. Don’t worry, shovels aren’t too hard to find in The Tomb. You can usually spot them near the ‘Quick Revive’ machine in the ‘Deep Excavation’ area, or even against the walls where you first spawn in the ‘Dig Site’.

Once you have your shovel, keep an eye out for small dirt mounds with a few bones and skulls scattered around. When you stand near one of these mounds, the game will give you a hint, telling you to dig. These are the spots where you might uncover the secret path to the early Ray Gun!

To get the free Ray Gun, you need to find 3 special glowing green rocks called ‘Ancient Gems’. These gems are rare and only appear sometimes after you dig at certain spots on the map.

  • You can find some dig spots near the ‘Quick Revive’ machine in the ‘Deep Excavation’ area, which is located in the eastern part of the map.
  • There are more dig spots around your starting area in the ‘Dig Site’.
  • You can also find some hidden dig spots in the shadowy areas of the ‘Shrine of the Hierophants’, where the ‘Stamin-Up’ machine is.

Dig spots usually appear every one or two rounds, so keep exploring the map to find them. Once you find an Ancient Gem, simply walk up to it and press the button to pick it up. It might take a few rounds to collect all three gems, so be patient!

Free Ray Gun location in Bo6 Zombies

Once you’ve collected all three Ancient Gems, you can finally access the secret ‘Tombs’ area. You can reach the Tombs by going through the first door in the ‘Roman Mausoleum’ area, which is near your starting point in the ‘Dig Site’. You can also get there by going up from the ‘Shrine of the Hierophants’.

Inside the Tombs, head to the eastern corner of the map. You’ll find a wall with a painting of a bull on it. To the left of this painting, there’s a small statue of a man with a beard. Approach the statue and interact with it. This will place your three Ancient Gems and release their energy in the form of glowing orbs.

Once you’ve placed the three Ancient Gems, two special zombie-like creatures called Doppelghasts will appear. Don’t worry, these creatures are not very tough to defeat. After you defeat them, you’ll receive a valuable item called ‘Potts and Paints PT 5 Intel’, 1,100 points to spend on upgrades, and most importantly, the powerful Ray Gun weapon! You can then equip the Ray Gun and use it to blast your way through the rest of the game.

Tips

  • This Easter Egg takes time. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t find any Ancient Gems in the first few rounds. Keep digging and exploring!
  • Make digging a priority, especially in the early rounds. The sooner you start, the higher your chances of finding Ancient Gems.
  • Don’t Panic with the Doppelghasts, these enemies are relatively easy to kill. Use your best weapons and focus your fire to take them down quickly.
  • If you’re struggling to find dig spots, try restarting the round. Sometimes, the map layout can slightly change, and new dig spots may appear.
