How to Get Long Shot Gold Medal in Sniper Elite: Resistance

Earning the Long Shot Gold Medal in Sniper Elite: Resistance can be a challenging but rewarding feat. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to achieving this prestigious award, outlining the necessary location, weapon loadout, aiming techniques, and crucial settings adjustments to maximize your chances of success.  By following these tips, you’ll be well on your way to taking down that distant sniper and claiming your Long Shot Gold.

How to Get Long Shot Gold Medal

To get the Long Shot Gold Medal you will need to go to the location provided on the map in Dead Drop (Red). And shoot at the sniper who is standing on the roof of the building (Green). As he is very far away and to get the Long Shot medal you need to shoot a sniper in 430 meters far away from you.

How to Aim for Long Shot Gold Medal

To spot the Sniper, you can use your binoculars or look through your sniper scope. Aim at the eagle and let the little bar above its head fill up. Once it’s full, the eagle will be tagged, so you’ll always know where it is.

Settings for Aiming

Camera Shake: Turning this setting off will stop the camera from shaking when you take damage, when things explode, or when you’re sprinting.

Recoil Reduction: This setting lets you control how much your weapon recoils when you fire. You can choose between Normal recoil, Reduced recoil, or Minimal recoil.

Bullet Drop: Turning this on means your bullets will be affected by gravity and start to drop over distance. Turning it off means they’ll fly straight.

Wind: Turning this on means the wind will affect where your bullets go. Turning it off means they’ll ignore the wind.

Empty Lung Assists: This setting helps you line up your shots when you’re running out of breath. If it’s on, your view will zoom in, time will slow down, and you’ll see a marker showing where your bullet is likely to land. You can choose between Normal assistance, Reduced assistance, or you can turn it off completely.

Sniping: This setting lets you choose how challenging sniping is. You can pick from Very Easy, Easy, Medium, Hard, or Authentic difficulty.

Authentic Zoom: Turning this on means you won’t be able to zoom in any further when you’re already looking through your scope.
