Collecting the Lock of Hair Trinket in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is for players who like their perks to reward skill and not luck. This trinket’s perk is tied to perfect parries – whenever you manage to execute a perfect parry, you recover some health which lets you keep fighting instead of retreating to recover. In this guide, you’ll learn where the Lock of Hair trinket is located and what to expect while collecting it.
Rift Location
To obtain the Lock of Hair trinket, you need to complete an Animus Rift challenge mission. This rift is located on the southern end of the Great Inagua island, but for the rift to appear, you need to complete the main mission up to assassinating Julien Du Casse and take control over the island.
After you make your way to the marked location, you’ll notice an animus rift near the island’s shore as shown in the above image. Go through the rift and it will lead you to an animus world.
Lock of Hair Trinket
You need to progress through the animus world by completing a few puzzles while carrying a crate.
After you’ve solved the puzzles and progressed through the animus world, you’ll be returned to the pirate world and will obtain the Lock of Hair Trinket. This trinket has a perk that recovers your health whenever you perform a perfect parry, which allows you to survive longer during battles.
