The Monastery Ruins hides a crucial objective and is one of Gothic 1 Remake’s intriguing puzzles where you have to make use of your magical skills. The main gate is locked from the inside, forcing you to find an alternative way in rather than charging in blind. Monastery Ruins Location
During Chapter 3 you’ll be sent on a journey to acquire all the focus stones scattered across the valley. One of the focus stones is located at Monastery Ruins, head to the marked location shown on the map in the above image and you’ll reach the Monastery Ruins.
Regroup with Gorn
You need to regroup with Gorn upon reaching Monastery Ruins and you’ll learn that the ruins are swarming with Snappers and asks to look for an alternate way inside the ruins.
Meatbug Transformation Scroll
After speaking to Gorn, he will ask you to follow him to find another way inside the ruins and will take you to a cave below the ruins. You’ll come across a chamber where monks used to live and there’s also a chest which contains the Meatbug Transformation scroll, collect the scroll and return to the main entrance.
Hidden Passage
From the main gate, head left toward the wall beside the main entrance and you’ll spot a small opening near the base of the wall as depicted in the above images.
