How to Get Compass Legendary Artifact Stalker 2

In the chaos of battle, the Compass stands out as one of the top Artifacts in Stalker 2. It delivers outstanding physical protection, making you nearly invulnerable to bullets and melee attacks. The Compass Legendary Artifact could be the final addition to your collection, just as it was for many of us.

Gravitational anomalies like vortexes and whirlwinds drop the Compass Artifact. To increase your chances of acquiring it, consider farming in areas with multiple gravitational anomaly fields nearby to save time. This guide will show you how to farm the Compass Legendary Artifact and highlight the best locations to find it in Stalker 2.

Why Should You Obtain the Compass Legendary Artifact?

The Compass Legendary Artifact is incredibly powerful in Stalker 2, offering unparalleled physical protection and making it essential for surviving gravitational anomalies. When equipped, it reduces damage from these anomalies by almost 90%. Additionally, it enhances defense against enemies like pseudo-dogs and bloodsuckers, significantly reducing the damage they can deal during combat.

Top Locations to Find the Compass Legendary Artifact in Stalker 2

Here are the best locations and strategies for farming the Compass Legendary Artifact:

Izumrudne Point of Interest (Zaton Region)

Located in the southeastern part of the map, Izumrudne is one of the prime spots for farming the Compass Artifact. Its close proximity to another gravitational anomaly field, The Claw, just 300 meters away, makes it a highly efficient location.

The Claw (Near Izumrudne)

Start your farming run at Izumrudne. If the Compass Artifact doesn’t drop, move 250 to 300 meters to The Claw and try again. This minimizes downtime and boosts your farming efficiency.

Ribs (Lesser Zone Region)

Another great location is the Ribs in the Lesser Zone region, where I eventually found the Legendary Compass Artifact after several attempts.

Note: On average, it takes 17 or 18 attempts, with players collecting around 30 artifacts before the Compass Legendary Artifact finally drops. The whole process typically takes about 30 to 35 minutes.

How to Farm for the Compass Legendary Artifact

There are two effective methods for farming legendary artifacts:

First Method

The first method involves playing the game naturally by exploring gravitational anomaly fields one by one, hoping that the Compass Artifact eventually drops for you. Although this approach is effective, it can be slow and inefficient.

Second Method

The second, faster method involves using quick saves. Start by approaching a gravitational anomaly field until you’re about 100 to 150 meters away. You can monitor your distance by selecting the field’s point of interest on your map and watching your compass at the top of the screen.

Once you’re close enough, quick-save your game. Then, enter the anomaly field and search for artifacts. If the Compass Legendary Artifact doesn’t drop, simply reload your save and try again. This technique eliminates unnecessary travel and helps you farm more efficiently.

Some Key Tips for Farming the Compass Legendary Artifact:

Patience is Key

Farming for the Compass requires patience, as legendary artifacts have a random drop rate. It may take several attempts before you find the Compass, so stay persistent.

Focus on Efficient Regions

Areas like Zaton, where anomaly fields are clustered together, offer a more efficient farming experience, saving you time and effort during your sessions.

Prepare for Hazards

Gravitational anomaly fields can be dangerous, and unexpected enemy encounters are common. Be sure to bring plenty of med kits and equip yourself with the right gear to stay safe.

Persistence and Luck

With enough persistence and a bit of luck, you’ll eventually secure the Compass Legendary Artifact. Remember, The Zone is unpredictable—it gives and it takes.
