How to Get Blightwood for Crafting the Blightwood Longbow?
It’s a no-brainer that Blightwood is an essential material for crafting the Blightwood Longbow but acquiring Blightwood is not an easy task in the game. Here’s a step by step process on how you can acquire it:
Blightwood Location
Blightwood can only be obtained from the Bloodblight Swamp region in RuneScape: Dragonwilds. This treacherous area lies on the eastern edge of the forgotten continent, Ashenfall. To reach it, you must first travel through the Fractured Plains. Once there, continue heading east until you arrive at the southeastern part of the map, where the Bloodblight Swamp is located.
Note: Keep in mind, the swamp is toxic—so make sure you’re well-stocked with items that offer poison resistance and cures to survive the journey.
How to Acquire Blightwood
The towering, ancient trees of Bloodblight Swamp are visible from nearly any point in the area, but unlike the other trees in Ashenfall, they can’t be chopped down in the usual way. To begin harvesting Blightwood in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you’ll first need a Bronze Axe.
Look for the tree’s distinctive white roots—these are what you need to cut. Each root yields at least two Blightwood logs when chopped. For faster gathering, use the overhead chop instead of the standard chop method.
With enough Blightwood at your disposal, you can easily craft the Blightwood Longbow and use its long-range attacks to eliminate threats from afar.
