How to Get All Endings in Silent Hill f

Staying true to its roots, Silent Hill f has five endings, every one of them revealing a distinct facet of Hinako’s story and the town’s uneasy secrets. Four are added to the main story, and the fifth — a cheerful UFO ending — honors the series’ decade-long joke-ending tradition.

Players will obtain the default ending on a first playthrough. The rest are unlocked by New Game+ or New Game++ playthroughs, each with some choices and actions.

Ending 1: “Coming Home to Roost” (Default Ending, New Game)

Requirements:

  • Complete Silent Hill f once on any difficulty level.
  • No special items or conditions are needed.

Overview

This is the default ending automatically accessible upon completing your first playthrough. It sets up the background for Hinako’s tragic odyssey and leaves many questions unanswered — teasing players to pursue future endings for resolution and more depth of background.

Ending 2: “Fox’s Wedding” (Bad Ending, New Game+)

Requirements:

  • Avoid using any Red Capsule consumables during the playthrough.
  • Do not pick up the Red Capsules at Shu’s backyard workshop (where you unlock his house).
  • Purify the Sacred Sword, or don’t obtain it at all.
  • Obtain the Agura no Hotei-sama item.

How to Unlock

In order to obtain this ending, you need to play wisely and not use any Red Capsules whatsoever. Utilize bandages, first aid kits, or other recoveries instead.

Get to Inari-Sama Door in Chapter 9: Main Hall towards the end of the game to acquire vial of Agura no Hotei-sama. Hold onto it throughout until Chapter Final.

If you acquire Sacred Sword by visiting every Jizo Statue in Ebisugaoka, remember to purify it at the Windmill Area, located northeast of Shu’s residence.

Alternatively, take a shortcut to this ending by avoiding getting the sword in the first place.

Most gamers attempt this ending first in New Game+ since it offers a dark alternative to the original narrative.

Ending 3: “The Fox Wets Its Tail” (Good Ending, New Game+)

Requirements:

  • Don’t use any Red Capsules.
  • Don’t collect the Red Capsules within Shu’s backyard workshop.
  • Obtain the Sacred Sword, but don’t purify it.

How to Unlock

This ending is a variation of the previous one but simpler to acquire.

All you have to do is obtain the Sacred Sword by visiting every one of the Jizo Statues, and retain it unpurified until the last area. Like before, don’t use Red Capsules throughout your playthrough.

Completing the game under these conditions unlocks The Fox Wets Its Tail ending — one of the more violent and symbolic fights in Silent Hill f.

Ending 4: “Ebisugaoka in Silence” (True Ending, New Game++)

Requirements:

  • Finish at least two full endings (excluding the UFO ending) to unlock New Game++.
  • Do not collect Red Capsules.
  • Do not pick up the Red Capsules in Shu’s backyard workshop.
  • Obtain and purify the Sacred Sword.
  • Bestow the Brooch on the final Jizo Statue near the end of the game.

How to Unlock

The “Ebisugaoka in Silence” ending is reportedly the true ending of Silent Hill f and requires much effort to unlock.

First, play the game twice — one time for the standard ending and one time for either New Game+ ending (“Fox’s Wedding” or “The Fox Wets Its Tail”). Then, initiate a New Game++ run.

Using this playthrough:

  • Acquire the Sacred Sword by giving items to every Jizo Statue.
  • Sanctify it again at the Windmill Area north of Shu’s residence.
  • In the final chapter, as Hinako returns to Shimizu Residence, look for a hidden Ancient Jizo Statue along the path.
  • Offer the Brooch — the same one gifted by the Fox Mask in your first playthrough.

Meeting these requirements unlocks the “Ebisugaoka in Silence” ending, providing the most complete and sombre resolution to Hinako’s journey.

Ending 5: “The Great Space Invasion” (UFO Ending, Joke Ending, New Game+)

Requirements:

  • Listen to the radio show in the Ebisugaoka canals close to the start of the game.
  • Go up to all three “The Great Space Invasion” movie posters in the correct order.
  • Read “The Great Space Invasion” movie review note.

How to Unlock

  • This is the UFO ending — the straight-up comedic ending found in nearly every Silent Hill game.
  • To unlock it, first hear the cryptic alien message close to Ebisugaoka canals. Next, find the three The Great Space Invasion movie posters in order of appearance, then the movie review note close to Chizuruya.

These steps, done instantly, will lock in the “Great Space Invasion” ending, acquiring the trophy of the same name as well as the special weapon PP-8001 Lightsaber in subsequent playthroughs.

Though it doesn’t help the narrative move along, it’s a reward that no long-time fan of the show’s absurd humour should miss.
