Running a successful operation in Schedule 1 takes more than just planting seeds and hoping for the best; it requires structure, efficiency, and the right team. Automating your drug farm not only saves time but also boosts productivity, letting you focus on scaling up and raking in profits. From hiring workers and assigning them roles to setting up clean-up systems and managing daily wages, this guide walks you through everything you need to create a fully automated setup.
How to Fully Automate Farm
To automate your drug farm in Schedule 1, head over to the Warehouse where the Weapon Dealer is located. You’ll find a staircase nearby that leads you to an NPC named Manny. Manny is your go-to guy for hiring workers, you just need to pay a signup bonus to bring them on board. Once hired, you can assign them to any of your properties, like the Barn, Bungalow, or Docks Warehouse.
Each location has a different capacity. The Barn and Docks Warehouse can host up to ten workers each, while the Bungalow can hold up to five. After you’ve called the workers to your property, they’ll start lining up outside. That’s your cue to set up beds for them and use your Management Clipboard to assign each worker to a specific bed.
Once they’re settled in, make sure to place cash in their briefcases. They’ll automatically collect their daily wages, which range from $200 to $300, at the end of each in-game day (4 AM). If you don’t leave enough money, they won’t work, so be sure to keep their pay ready.
Botanists: Your Plant Care Specialists
Your Botanists are the plant experts, taking care of everything from sowing to harvesting. Each one can manage up to eight plants, and you can set where their harvested goods go, like a Mixing Station or shelf for Handlers to pick up. They’ll even deliver harvested plants to Drying Racks to boost quality. You’ll need to refill the soil in empty pots yourself, though using long-lasting soil helps cut down on the effort. Like Handlers, they charge $200 per day, and having at least two will keep your crops thriving.
Chemists: Crafting High-Quality Final Products
Chemists take it from there, working at stations like Lab Ovens, Cauldrons, and Mixing Stations to create the final products your customers crave. They rely on Handlers to bring them ingredients and to move finished goods to the Packing Station. Since they handle the most complex jobs, they have the highest daily wage at $300. Once everything’s set up, just keep refilling essential supplies like soil, seeds, and additives by ordering them through the app. Then, collect the finished products from your output shelf and hand them off to your dealers to make bank and unlock achievements.
Keeping Your Base Clean with Cleaners
Cleaning up after your workers can be a hassle, especially when everyone’s using different products and tools, creating piles of trash along the way. That’s where Cleaners come in. By placing three trash bins strategically around your base, you can cover the messiest areas. Once assigned, Cleaners will go around picking up garbage, bagging it, and tossing it outside when the bins are full. It keeps your operation tidy without you lifting a finger.
Handlers: The Backbone of Your Operation
Cleaners aren’t the only helping hands you will need. Handlers are essential for keeping your workflow smooth. They pack finished products, move supplies, and transport items between stations like storage shelves, loading bays, and output points. You can assign up to five routes using the clipboard, making them the backbone of automation. Having at least three Handlers ensures everything runs without delays, and at $200 per day, they’re worth every dollar.
