As an access key, Athena’s is connected to a roaming foe and a quest trigger. To help you find the key and complete the mission, this guide covers all the necessary information to track it down.
How to Get the Athena Secure Access Key
Unlike Poseidon, Prometheus, and Apollo keys, The Athena Key could be found outside the fort. The Athena Key can be found on the Mangkwan raider known as Kakrep who is the holder of the access key for Fort Athena.
Kakrep can be found patrolling The Stonblade Ridge area when the related quest line is activated on your map. The exact location for where Kakrep can be found may vary, so don’t be alarmed if Kakrep does not appear at the expected spot; simply look at your quest marker location and the associated icon to find where he is at any given time.
The Security Breach – Athena quest becomes available when you interact with the locked box in the control room after clearing the fort. After defeating the Mangkwan raider, you’ll have to get the key from him. Remember, the quest progresses even if there’s no clear on-screen confirmation. You can verify this by checking your objective, which updates to sending you back to the Ops Center at Fort Athena.
When you return, the control room can be found in the back building of the fort. Once you’re there, you’ll be able to continue with the objective tied to the Athena Key.
