In Diablo 4 Season 9, Horadric Strongrooms are special places inside Nightmare Dungeons where you fight enemies and get great rewards. But not every dungeon has one, so you need to know how to find them. This guide will show you easy ways to find and farm Strongrooms, with or without special items like Sigils. It also includes a simple trick to repeat the same Strongroom again and again to get more loot.
How to Farm Horadric Strongrooms
You can find Horadric Strongrooms inside Nightmare Dungeons, but not every dungeon will have one. If you want to increase your chances of finding them, there are a few things you can do. Try playing on the hardest difficulty, as that gives you a better shot at getting a Strongroom. Also, use the Horadric Wayfinder, it’s a special tool you get during the opening quest, and you can upgrade it to make Strongrooms easier to find.
You can also use Nightmare Sigils, which are rare items that let you enter specific dungeons. To make sure you don’t miss a Strongroom, be thorough, clear out every part of the dungeon, defeat all enemies, and look carefully in every corner. Pay attention to strange lights or background sounds, these can help you find a Strongroom entrance. Once you enter a Strongroom, a timer will start, and you will need to defeat all enemies inside before it runs out. At the end, a boss will appear, and beating it will complete your run and reward you with valuable loot.
How to Farm Horadric Strongrooms Without Sigils
To farm Horadric Strongrooms endlessly:
- Create a new character with the same class as your main. For example, if your main is a Spiritborn, create another Spiritborn.
- Log in with this new character, but don’t start the seasonal questline yet. First, level them up to level 60. You can do this however you like, get boosted in The Pits, use Whisper Caches from your main character, or grind normally through Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, or Whispers.
- Once your new character hits level 60, switch back to your main character and put all your best gear into the stash.
- Now, go back to your new level 60 character, take that gear from the stash, and equip it.
- Set up this new character completely, assign skills, paragon points, and seasonal powers. (Seasonal powers are already unlocked from your main.)
- Next, unlock the highest Torment difficulty you can. For example, clearing Pit 20 will unlock Torment 1. If your character is strong enough, aim for even higher difficulties to get better rewards.
- Don’t forget to set the game to the new difficulty you just unlocked.
- Now start the seasonal questline and play through it until you reach the quest called “The Embers Yet Smolder.” This will take you into a dungeon with a Horadric Strongroom inside.
- Run the Strongroom like normal, fill up the progress bar, beat the boss, and open the chest. Do not pick up the Blood Relic (the quest item). If you do, the quest moves forward, and you won’t be able to go back.
- Instead, leave the Blood Relic on the ground and log out.
- When you log back in, you will be back in town. Just head back to the same dungeon (it will still be on your map), re-enter the Strongroom, and repeat the process.
Remember, don’t wait too long; this likely wasn’t intended and could be fixed soon. Since your new character hasn’t unlocked the seasonal board, any rewards tied to that won’t drop from the chest. But you will still get a ton of great legendaries and uniques.
