The Pump Room in Blue Prince plays a key role in progressing through the Mt. Holly estate. It’s where you manage water flow to different areas like the pool, kitchen, fountain, and the underground reservoir. If you’re looking to drain the pool or access the underground boat area, you’ll need to get familiar with how the Pump Room works. We’ve broken it down step by step to make it easy.

How to Use the Pump Room to Drain Pool

The Pump Room in Blue Prince lets you control the water flow throughout the Mt. Holly estate. Using the control panel and pumps inside, you can fill or drain areas like the pool and kitchen. To access the spot where you can drain the reservoir, you’ll first need to unlock the underground area, this is where the boat is docked. But before you can ride it, the water level needs to be lowered. Just head to the Pump Room and use the controls to drop the water level.

How to the Drain Pool

The Pump Room lets you control the water levels of both the reservoir and the fountain. To dock properly, the water needs to be at level 13. But if you want to use the boat and explore the underground area, you’ll need to lower the reservoir to level 6.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Start by pressing the Pool button on the control panel.
   
2. Head over to Pump 4, which is behind Tank 1, and pull the lever up to send water into Tank 1.
   
3. Now press the Greenhouse button on the control panel.
   
4. Go to Pump 1 and push its lever down to transfer the water from Tank 1 into the greenhouse.
   
5. Find the tank switch located between and behind Tanks 1 and 2, and adjust it so it points to Tank 2.
   
6. Press the Fountain button on the control panel.
   
7. At Pump 2, pull the lever up to send water into Tank 2.
   
8. Hit the Kitchen button on the control panel.
   
9. Go to Pump 3 and pull the lever down to direct water into the Kitchen.
   
10. Press the Fountain button again to drain water from the Fountain into Tank 2.
    
11. Then, press the Pool button again to drain water from the Pool into Tank 1.
    
12. Go back to the tank switch behind Tanks 1 and 2, and turn it so it now points to Tank 1.
    
13. Push the Pump 2 lever down.
    
14. Press the Fountain button to pump water from Tank 1 into the Fountain.
    
15. Finally, press the Pool button once more to refill Tank 1 and fully drain the Pool.

Once you’ve lowered the water to level 6, you’ll be able to hop on the boat and cruise through the underground section of Blue Prince to explore further.
