Defending Sanctuary Hill in Dunecrawl is one of the first big missions that teaches you how combat, exploration, and mounts work in the game. You’ll fight off enemy waves, use bows and cannons, ride powerful creatures, and protect the village docks from destruction. This guide will tell you everything so you know where to go, what to do, and how to survive the battle without getting killed.

    How to Defend Sanctuary Hill

After you have started the game, you will find a villager standing next to you. The villager will ask you for help to defend the docks. You need to follow him and break the crates to find different items. Then, on the left side, you will find a green weapon crate. Destroy it to get a hunting bow. Use your bow or cutlass to kill the enemies in front of you. Now, you will need to shoot an arrow at the target to open the door on the right side.

When you reach the next area, you will face the first wave of enemies. Kill all the enemies to open the door to the next area. Defeating the enemies will reward you with healing potions and different types of items. Then move forward towards the Steedle Farm, and you will find the enemies at the entrance of the farm. So, kill all of them and enter the farm.

    Use the Mount

The village will tell you to pick up a bug gack to heal the Steedles. After healing, use the Steedles as a mount. Now press ‘E’ to use the Mount. With the help of the Mount, you need to get towards the docks. As you move forward, there will be a lot of enemies in front of you. Kill all of them to move forward. As you move towards the next section, you will face two waves of enemies. Kill all of them to move forward.

As you move forward, you will find that your path is blocked by a wall. Use the Bombflower to destroy the cracked wall. Then get inside and pass through the shrine. As you enter the docks, you will find that the villagers were worried that the jar-headed villains had captured one of their sacred dune crawlers. They were using the dune crawlers to destroy the docks.

Destroying the Vassal Outpost and Klin Crawler

Now, the villager will tell you that you can use the old canons by the docks to break the dune chains. As you will be going towards the canons, you will be interrupted by different enemies. Kill all of them and move towards the canons. The dune crawler will be shooting canon balls towards the docks. Before the cannonball drops at the docs, it will show a red circle.

You need to avoid this, or you will lose your health. As you reach the cannon, you will need to pick up a cannonball from an Ammo Bin. Then use the cannons to destroy the crawler. After destroying the Dune Crawlers, you need to board it. Use the ladders beside to get up on the Dune Crawlers.

On the dune crawler, you will find the Old Keeper. He will ask you to use the bug gack from the keg to heal the crawler’s legs. There, you will get the prompt to name your Dune Crawler.

Now you need to destroy the Kiln Crawler and Vassal outpost. Use the shield on the Dune Crawler to defend from the enemies cannon balls. Then use the cannons on the enemies to destroy their cannons. After defeating the vassal and the Clean Crawler, return to the docks at the village and talk with the shaman to complete the quest.

You need to destroy all the crates as you move towards the journey to get new weapons, gold, and junk to trade off to get money. Don’t forget to loot the bodies of the enemies to get useful items.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
