Basic Batteries are one of the first and most important crafting components in Subnautica 2. They are used to power important tools and equipment, including the Scanner and many other devices you will use throughout the game. You can craft a Basic Battery very early, using materials that are easy to find near your starting Lifepod. In this guide, we will tell you how to craft the Basic Battery in Subnautica 2.
How to Get a Basic Battery

The Basic Battery can be crafted by using two units of copper and one Acidic Raion Pouch at any available Fabricator. Copper can be obtained easily from the walls of underground caverns. To get an Acidic Raion Pouch, look for Acid Raion and harvest one of their pouches with your tool. Once you have these materials, return to the Fabricator and craft the Basic Battery.
How to Get Copper

Swim from your Lifepod for about 150 meters in the north direction and look out for a large dome-shaped formation made up of corals. Underneath this formation, there is a cave entrance, which is quite easy to identify because of the green flowers that glow inside. From there, make your way through to the bigger room inside and mine some Copper deposits.
How to Get Acidic Raion

Acidic Raion Pouches are collected from a living organism called the Acid Raion. These living organisms can usually be found within caves and rock formations near your initial Lifepod spawn location, which makes them easy to collect early on during the game.
Once you have equipped your Survival Multitool, you will be able to use it to cut open the pouch from the main body. It is important to know that one Acid Raion can give up to three Acidic Raion Pouches.
