Where to Find the Golden Idol Puzzle Location

The game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle starts with a short opening scene. In this scene, Indiana Jones explores an old, empty tomb, searching for a different treasure.

  • Start your adventure: Begin your journey in the Peruvian jungle with your two guides.
  • Clear the path: You’ll encounter some vines blocking your way. Use your hand to clear them.
  • Follow the guide: Keep following your guide, turning left at the stream.
  • Collect the book: Reach the outdoor tent and pick up the necessary “Warrior of the Clouds” book.
  • Lift the tree: Interact with the marked tree to lift it and continue your path.
  • Clear the fallen tree: Use your whip to move the fallen tree blocking your way.

The entrance to the Chachapoyan temple is just a short climb up the hill by the water. You’ll see stone steps leading into a dark, mysterious cave. With Satipo following close behind, enter the cave and follow the path. You’ll need to clear a massive spider web blocking your way. Hold down the buttons on the screen to deactivate the spike trap. This will deactivate the trap and hide the spikes back into the wall.

How to Solve the Golden Idol Puzzle

You’re deep inside an ancient temple hidden in the South American jungle, standing on the brink of discovery and danger. You’ve made it to the hall of the Golden Idol, but peril is everywhere. Your first challenge is to avoid a deadly trap: Indiana warns you to stay out of the light. Stay low, stick to the wall, and move carefully to avoid hidden spikes. Once past that, you’ll need your whip to swing across a massive hole in the floor; falling here means certain death. If you make it, the hall of the Golden Idol awaits, but don’t let your guard down, as another trap lies in wait.

As you light up a hexagonal tile on the floor with your torch, a deadly dart suddenly shoots out. To disarm the traps, you’ll need to activate specific safety tiles. Look for hexagonal tiles marked with a circle in the center; this is the key. Light them with your torch to deactivate the traps in the row ahead. Once the traps retract, crouch carefully and move forward to find the next safety tile. You’ll need to repeat this process after climbing the stairs, so stay sharp!

You’ve made it to the Golden Idol! After all that, you’ll need to empty the bag with sand to make it as heavy as the Golden Idol. But, of course, this plan backfires. The moment you replace the Idol with sand, the temple starts to shake and fall apart. Get ready to race back through the trap-filled hall. When you reach the gap, you’ll see Satipo has already crossed. Toss the idol to him and make a daring leap across. Suddenly, a massive, deadly boulder starts rolling your way. Run as fast as you can to escape the trap! Just as it all feels too real, you wake up from your dream back at Marshall College.
