Where to Find Gaspin Manor Statue Puzzle

To begin the “An Academic Interest” quest, players must finish the main quest called “Something Wrong in the Wetlands.”  When you first step into Lavendel, just south of the Eluvian Portal, you’ll meet Bastian.

He’s a local worried about something strange happening at Gaspin Manor and about a curse in the village that you can only lift. The manor’s owner has disappeared without a trace, and Bastian thinks something fishy is going on. He’s hoping you can help him get to the bottom of it.

Get to Gaspin Manor by following the path from Grey Hold, where you will start when you enter Hossberg Wetlands. Then head south and take every east path you come to.

This will lead you through Lavendel village, the Blighted Tunnel, the Old Crossroads, and finally the Cavernous Tunnels. Be careful because those tunnels are full of Venatori barrier crystals you cannot pass through.

To move on, you have to break these crystals into certain sets. You have to break five crystals, then eight, and finally five more to reach the manor entrance. These crystals are linked by red tendrils; follow them to find and break each set.

Next, get rid of any enemies that might be lurking around Gaspin Manor. If you haven’t finished the “An Academic Interest” quest, you’ll probably run into some Venatori.

Otherwise, it’s likely to be Shades. Once you get inside Gaspin Manor, you must fight through Venatori guards. You’ll need to destroy fourteen more crystals, but watch out – Venatori is protecting them.

You’ll also come across a statue puzzle in the manor’s courtyard as you fight. You’ll need to solve this puzzle to progress further.

You’ll need to solve a statue puzzle in the courtyard to free the wisp. You’ll need to turn the statues to face specific braziers. There are three rotatable statues to find: one in the northern corner of the grounds, another in the eastern corner, and a third near a staircase in the center.

You’ll also come across three unlit braziers: one is southeast of the statue by the stairs, another is northwest of the eastern statue near a staircase that leads back up to the Cavernous Tunnels, and the third is southwest of the northern statue, located on the upper floor of a ruined building.

Turn the north corner statue to face southwest, the southwest statue to face northwest, and the central (near stairs) statue to face southeast.

Lighting all three braziers in the courtyard will unlock the room with the wisp. You’ll find this door on the southeastern side of the manor grounds, just to the left of the main stairs leading into the manor.

You’ll find a chest filled with goodies and a wisp inside the secret building you just unlocked. This secret building is just northwest of a smaller set of stairs that lead up to the manor. Next to the secret door, you’ll find a boarded-up doorway. Behind it, you can find a large chest and a valuable item called the Ring of the Warden Royal Memento.

Get close to the wisp so it follows you. Then, run back to the gate. The wisp will possess a nearby skeleton and pull a lever, opening the gate to Solitude’s End.

With the Gaspin Manor statue puzzle solved and the wisp at your side, you’ve unlocked the path to Solitude’s End.

Solitude’s Edge is a really important place in the Hossberg Wetlands. It’s where you’ll find the “Cabin in the Blight” quest and can also complete part of the “In Peace Hidden” achievement.

Every challenge you’ve faced, from dismantling the Venatori crystals and defeating their guards to solving the courtyard’s statue puzzle, has brought you closer to uncovering the manor’s secrets.

Now, with the Ring of the Warden Royal Memento in your possession and the way forward open, you stand ready to venture even deeper into Gaspin Manor. But be prepared for more mysteries and dangers in the shadowy depths ahead.

Gaspin Manor Treasure 1

This chest is a bit tricky. First, take care of any enemies nearby. Then, destroy the crystals to dispel the magic. Once the magic is gone, interact with the stone to uncover a hidden room. Be careful, as more enemies might appear. Inside the hidden room, you’ll find a Davrin Weapon called the Griffon’s Talon, a Fade-Touched Crystal, and a valuable Hammer.

Gaspin Manor Treasure 2

You’ll find this chest on the second floor of the manor. Go up the stairs and take the second door on your left. Keep following the path through the ruins until you reach the first room. Inside, you’ll find the chest. It contains a Taash Weapon called the Battlehorn, a valuable Dwarven Coin, and some gold.

Gaspin Manor Treasure 3

To find this chest, head to the right entrance of the manor. Near the entrance, you’ll see some barrels and a boarded-up area. Break through the boards to reveal a small room containing the chest. Inside, you’ll find the Davrin Armor called the Griffon’s Tail, Vhenadahl’s Tears, and some gold.
