Troll Canyon is located north of the Valley. These ruins are swallowed by dangers, where the enemies don’t just block the way but also are a threat. Focus in the Troll Canyon quest is tied to the ruins- you travel with Milten, clear out threats near the entrance and confront Adult Troll that makes straightforward combat feel impossible. The quest then shifts into a scavenging hunt where you gather Troll Skin for Milten’s monster shrinking spell, push through the gated section and reach the focus stone.
Troll Canyon Location
Make your way to the marked location shown on the map to reach the Troll Canyon, which is to the north of the Valley. You’ll encounter snappers along your way to the canyon, so be prepared to take them in a fight.
Regroup with Milten
At the entrance of the Troll Canyon, regroup with Milten to start the quest. Speak with him and you’ll learn that an Adult Troll occupies the canyon.
Follow Milten to the chamber on the right of the canyon, where he will ask you to gather some Troll Skin to craft a shrinking spell that would shrink the adult troll.
Gathering Troll Skin
After this, the troll will start patrolling the area around the canyon. While the troll is patrolling the area, sneak behind him to reach his lair where you’ll find the troll skin. You can find more troll skins along the path he patrols.
Crafting Spell
Collect a few troll skins and return to Milten. Give him the troll skin and he will craft the Shrink Monster spell.
Defeating the Adult Troll
Now equip the shrink monster scroll, get closer to the adult troll and use the spell while aiming at the troll. This will shrink the adult troll to a subsequent size smaller than you, fight and defeat the troll.
Reaching the Focus Stone
Once you’ve defeated the troll, navigate to the main entrance of the ruins and Milten will help you pull the levers to unlock the entrance.
Telekinesis Scroll
After you enter the ruins, before you take the stairs to the focus stone make sure to check the area shown in the above image. You’ll find a chest that holds the telekinesis scroll, collect it and head towards the Focus Stone.
Restoring the Bridge
The focus stone is located at the central altar and the gap to reach the altar is far too wide to cover with a simple jump. Equip the Telekinesis scroll and use it while aiming at the blue crystal on the altar, this will restore the bridge and you can cross it now to reach the Focus Stone.
Focus Stone
Collect the Focus Stone and return to Saturas in New Camp to complete the Focus in the Troll Canyon quest and progress the main storyline.
