The Focus below the Stone Circle leads you to a Stonehenge ruins in the southwest of the Valley, where the glowing center marks into a dangerous, puzzle area. This guide walks you through the Stonehenge location, what to expect around the ruins and how to start the sequence with Diego once you arrive. From there you’ll also learn about the mechanisms of the lower rooms and how to defeat the Zombie so that you can collect the Focus Stone.
StoneHenge Location
Head to the marked location shown on the above map image to reach the Stonehenge, located on the southwest of the Valley. And thread carefully as the area is swarming with Biters.
Diego Sequence
Once you reach the location, look for Diego inside the Stone Circle and you’ll learn that a Zombie holds the Focus Stone and it’s located below the Stone Circle. However, to reach the underground section you need to solve a mechanism to unlock the door, which is located towards the west of the Stone Circle. Speak with Diego and he will take you to the entrance.
Solving the Door Mechanism
After you reach the entrance to the underground chamber, you need to light up the 4 stone pedestals using the torch as shown in the above image to trigger the mechanism and unlock the entrance to the chamber below.
Locked Rooms
When you reach below the Stone Circle, the first chamber you come across has two locked rooms with a unique mechanism. If you look carefully, you can see that there’s a glowing blue stone above each room that kind of looks like a button. Shoot the button with a range weapon like a bow or crossbow, it will trigger the mechanism and unlock the doors. You can get some essential potions by looting the corpses inside these rooms.
Finding the Focus Stone
Go deeper into the tunnels and you’ll soon reach the next chamber where you’ll come across the Zombie. In Gothic, zombies are very resistant towards any sort of damage at all and the only way to defeat the zombie is to make use of the energy mechanism at the top.
Defeating the Zombie
To defeat the Zombie, you need to activate the energy mechanism which inflicts damage to the zombie. To activate the mechanism, you need to shoot the 3 glowing blue buttons on the walls which will then redirect the energy beam to the device at the center and shoot a concentrated beam of energy at the middle.
Before you shoot the 3rd button, just make sure that the zombie is positioned in the middle as shown in the above image, so that when the device activates the zombie will be dealt some damage. Repeat this process until you kill the zombie.
Obtaining the Focus Stone
Collect the Focus Stone after defeating the zombie and speak with Diego, which will complete Diego’s sequence and you can return to Saturas.
Giving Focus to Saturas
After collecting the Focus Stone, return to Saturas in the New Camp and give it to him to complete the Focus below the Stone Circle quest.
