Find Ujimasa  – Assassin’s Creed Shadows Inside Help Quest

The “Inside Help” mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows charges players with discovering Ujimasa, a vital insider who can provide assistance with infiltrating Yamazaki Castle. This mission, a follow-up on the “The Bad Brother” narrative, sends Naoe or Yasuke to Kiyomizudera Temple to find the secret Ujimasa and win his confidence, paving the way for the assassination of Ise Sadoki, “The Fool.”

Inside Help Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Inside Help is a main story mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, following The Bad Brother as part of the Onryo storyline. Your goal is to assassinate The Fool, Ise Sadoki.

In The Bad Brother, Naoe and Yasuke meet Ise Sadatame, Sadoki’s sickly brother. Sadatame reveals that Sadoki betrayed his clan to support his father-in-law, Akechi Mitsuhide. He also mentions Ujimasa, an insider who can help you infiltrate Yamazaki Castle. However, before he’ll assist you, you’ll need to find him in hiding and earn his trust. Both Naoe and Yasuke can complete this mission.

Find Ujimasa in Inside Help Quest

Ujimasa can help you infiltrate Yamazaki Castle, but he’s currently in hiding at Kiyomizudera Temple. To find him, select the Inside Help mission from the Objective Board. The intel reveals that he is:

  • In Yamashiro
  • In the southwestern Hills of Meeting
  • At Kiyomizudera Temple

Kiyomizudera Temple is just east of Yamashiro City, right past the eastern bridge. Once inside, go past the main structure while keeping to the left, then take the stairs down on the right. Use your observation tool, and you should spot Ujimasa ahead, giving a tour near the three bamboo waterfalls. Ujimasa will present you with a dialogue choice:

  • I choose love.
  • I choose success.
  • I choose longevity.

Pick whichever you like, it won’t affect the outcome. After that, your next task is to eliminate all seven members of the Twisted Tree.
