In Sniper Elite: Resistance, the task to locate and contact Vertigo sends players to the Library Gardens, where a secret entrance to a tunnel can be found. The exploration of this section is done in stealth and awareness since important objectives, such as an optional objective to retrieve the stolen Resistance files, are spread throughout the area. Once inside, following the waypoint will lead to Vertigo, completing this objective. This is also the perfect time to explore and collect any remaining Dead Drop items before making your exit, given that there are multiple exfiltration points available.
Find and make contact with Vertigo
Head to the Library Garden, which is located right in front of the Library in Sniper Elite: Resistance’s second mission. The Library itself is in the top-right corner of the map, and the gardens will be highlighted once you are tasked with finding the tunnel entrance. There is also an optional objective in this area, recovering stolen Resistance files from the Library. While it’s not required, you might want to complete it while you are there.
Tunnel Entrance Location
In front of the Library entrance, you will find a hexagonal building with a dark-brown door on its west side. It might not be immediately clear that the door can be opened, but as you get closer, you will see an “Open” prompt. Simply press the corresponding button to enter.
Right in front of the Library entrance, you will find a six-sided building with a dark-brown door on its west side. It may not be immediately obvious, but this door can be opened, just walk up to it, and an “Open” prompt will appear, allowing you to enter.
As you approach, you might also notice the objective distance counter reaching zero, which is a useful detail to remember for future missions when trying to locate specific items or places more accurately. After locating the tunnel entrance in the Library Gardens, head down the stairs and follow the in-game waypoint to find Vertigo, completing the “Find and Make Contact with Vertigo” objective.
From here, your focus shifts to exfiltration, which is much easier since multiple exit points are available near the Library. This is also a great time to explore, as many enemies have likely been dealt with. If you’re looking to collect every Dead Drop item, consider searching before leaving the area.
