Every pirate ship needs a signature look, and in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag you can get that look by obtaining Ezio and Altair’s Legendary Sails. These sails don’t just change the Jackdaw’s appearance, they bring back the iconic Assassin’s Legacy style to your adventures. In this guide, you’ll learn where to find both the legendary sails along with their corresponding route information and how to equip them, so that you can set sail with a legendary appearance.
Ezio’s Legendary Sails
After you progress the main story to the Great Inagua island where you need to assassinate Julien Du Casse, the island becomes a safe haven. The Ezio legendary sails can be found inside a chest in a treasure cave located below the Manor. You can reach the cave through the main mission “The Old Cove”, alternatively there’s an entrance to the cave near the beach below the synchronization point.
Inside the treasure cave below the mansion, you’ll find the chest that contains Ezio’s Legendary Sails.
Altair’s Legendary Sails
Altair’s Sails are also located on the Great Inagua, but the location where the chest lies is a bit tricky to reach.
Head to the Mayan Stele of the Great Inagua and go through the marked bushes shown in the above image.
You’ll be caught up in a mud slide after you go through the bushes, and you’ll reach a secret area.
Loot the treasure chest to collect Altair’s Legendary Sails.
Equipping the Sails
To equip the sails onto your Jackdaw, you need to talk to the Harbourmaster. You can find the harbourmaster often near the docks. However, to access the Harbourmaster on the Great Inagua, you first need to develop the island and construct the harbour building, which will unlock the harbourmaster for the island. You can equip the sails in the appearance tab under ship upgrades menu.
