The Crank Handle is an important item you will find in Resident Evil Requiem. It is used to activate mechanisms and open new paths in the game. However, the game does not tell you where to find it or where to use it. In this guide, we will show you where to get the Rusty Crank Handle and where you can use it so you can continue the mission.
Crank Handle Location
Go through the Raccoon City Centre mission till you reach the Underground Parking Garage. From Central Camp, complete the objectives in the first area. Continue forward through the gate and follow the path until you reach the parking garage section. During this part, you will need to:
- Go to one side of the garage and collect a battery.
- Return across the area and drop down.
- Move to another section to collect a second battery.
- Bring both batteries back and place them in the battery box.
Once you finish this task, the exit will open, and you can go to the next area. After leaving the garage, you will go to the next section of the map. Turn left, which will start a cutscene the first time you arrive. From there, go into the Cedarbrook Apartments. Climb the stairs, move through the hallway and go outside.
You will notice a door nearby that requires a crank. Go right, and you will need to kill an enemy here. After that, drop down to the lower level. Another enemy will appear nearby. Right after defeating him, quickly move forward, and you will find the Crank Handle. When you interact with it, you will get the Rusty Crank.
How to Use the Crank
After getting the crank, head back upstairs. An enemy carrying explosives will appear here. Near the top area, you will find the first crank slot. Insert the rusty crank and turn it to activate the mechanism. This opens up the path and lets you continue forward.
After activating the first mechanism, go outside and go back around to the area where you found the batteries in the parking garage. From there, go to the sewage facility section nearby. Here you will find another mechanism that requires the Rusty Crank. Use the crank to open the area. Inside, you will fight a few enemies, but you will also find some useful items.
