All 7 Kill Challenges in Sniper Elite: Resistance
Your map will always show you where your Kill List targets are, along with what you need to do. It’s a good idea to make a manual save before you get close to each target. Sometimes you have to take out an officer in a specific way as part of the mission, and things can go wrong if they die accidentally or in a different way. Saving beforehand gives you a backup if that happens.
Dead Drop target – Philo Beck: 2nd Mission
Your first target in Sniper Elite: Resistance, Philo Beck, is hanging out in a cafe on the town square. You’ll know you’re close when you hear him yelling at someone. Your special challenge for him is to take him out with a Rat Bomb.
How to complete the “Kill Philo Beck with a Rat Bomb” challenge:
- Find the Rat Bomb: Start where you begin the mission and head to the ruined house near the riverbed. Go up to the second floor. You should find a Rat Bomb there.
- Infiltrate the Cafe: Carefully make your way to the cafe where Beck is. Stealth is key here – avoid being seen.
- Plant the Bomb: Listen to Beck and his buddy chat. Once they’re done and have moved away from the bar area, sneak behind the counter. You’ll see an outline where you can plant the Rat Bomb. Interact with it to place the bomb.
- Detonate and Escape: Quickly find a hiding spot and wait for Beck to return to the bar area. The bomb should do its work.
Reward: Completing this challenge gets you the Nagant M1895 pistol.
Sonderzuge Sabotage target – Claude La Ronde: 3rd Mission
Your next target, Claude La Ronde, is patrolling the docks on the other side of the river. Your special challenge for him is to take him out using some conveniently placed cargo.
How to complete the “Kill Claude La Ronde with cargo” challenge:
- Get a Vantage Point: Head east along the river and cross over using the train tracks. This should give you a good view of the docks.
- Observe La Ronde: Watch La Ronde’s patrol route. You’ll want to time your shot so he’s directly underneath the hanging construction materials.
- Take the Shot: Once he’s in the perfect spot, shoot the winch holding the cargo. Gravity will do the rest.
Reward: Completing this challenge earns you the M1907 pistol.
Collision Course target – Ludwig Spiegel: 4th Mission
Your next target, Ludwig Spiegel, is hanging out at the bottom of a huge dam. Your special challenge for him is to send him plummeting to his doom. This one’s a bit tricky!
How to complete the “Kill Ludwig Spiegel by making him fall from the dam” challenge:
There are two main ways to do this:
- Directly Collapsing the Walkway: Ludwig patrols a walkway on the lower part of the dam. You can shoot the support beams underneath this walkway to make it collapse. The catch is that Ludwig has to be directly on the platform when you shoot. If he’s even a little bit off, he’ll just get spooked. Also, invisible walls prevent you from getting close enough to push him off, so you need to find a good sniping angle to hit those supports.
- Luring Him to the Top: You can also try a more elaborate method. Distract Ludwig and try to lure him up a ladder to the top of the dam. Once he’s up there, you can knock him out and then toss him off one of the ledges or towers. This also counts as a valid kill for the challenge.
Reward: Completing this challenge rewards you with the M1 Garand rifle.
Devil’s Cauldron target – Eloi Coste: 5th Mission
Your next target, Eloi Coste, is relaxing in a big cabin in the north of the map, near the U-boat facility (where you might have an optional objective). His special challenge is to take him out with an LMG, and this one’s pretty straightforward.
How to complete the “Kill Eloi Coste with an LMG” challenge:
- Clear the Area: Make your way to Eloi’s cabin and deal with any guards you encounter. You can use whatever tactics you prefer.
- Pacify Eloi: Once you spot Eloi, you need to incapacitate him without killing him. You can do this with a “Pacify” melee takedown (the non-lethal option) or by using non-lethal ammo if you have it.
- Grab the MG42: There’s an MG42 LMG in one of the rooms on the second floor of the cabin. Find it and pick it up.
- Finish the Job: With the MG42 in hand, finish off the incapacitated Eloi.
Reward: Completing this challenge gets you the Trench Gun shotgun.
Assault on Fort Rouge target – Uwe Schoene: 6th Mission
Your next target, Schoene, is chilling in a big manor on the west side of town. His special kill challenge involves a Coal Torpedo, and this one can be a bit finicky, so it’s highly recommended you make a manual save before attempting it.
How to complete the “Kill Schoene with a Coal Torpedo” challenge:
- Find the Coal Torpedo: Once you’re at the manor, look for a supply room on the ground floor. You should find the Coal Torpedo there.
- Sneak Upstairs: Head up to the second floor, being careful not to be spotted by Schoene or any other enemies. Stealth is key here.
- Plant the Torpedo: Find the fireplace in the large room on the second floor. There should be a wicker basket nearby. Interact with it to plant the Coal Torpedo.
- Hide and Wait: Once you’ve planted the torpedo, quickly find a good hiding spot and wait. You should soon witness Schoene’s explosive demise.
Reward: Successfully completing this challenge earns you the ERMA36 submachine gun.
Lock, Stock, and Barrels target – Aldo Riese: 7th Mission
Your next target, Aldo Riese, is holed up in a farmhouse in the western part of the map. His special challenge involves taking him out with poison.
How to complete the “Kill Aldo Riese with poison” challenge:
Currently, this specific Kill List challenge seems to be bugged. Although the poison is found, players are not able to interact with the object needed in order to use it. We are actively working on this problem and will post an updated solution as soon as we have it.
Reward: The reward for this challenge should be the M1918 BAR, but you won’t receive it until the bug is fixed and you can complete the objective.
End of the Line target – Hermann Gottschalk: 8th Mission
Your next target, Gottshalk, is checking out machinery and supplies in the northern part of the map. His special challenge is to eliminate him with a gas explosion, and it’s a pretty simple one.
How to complete the “Kill Gottshalk with a gas explosion” challenge:
- Clear the Area (Optional but Recommended): Before you trigger the explosion, it’s a good idea to take out any nearby soldiers. The explosion will likely attract attention, so thinning out their numbers beforehand makes things much easier.
- Wait for the Opportunity: Watch Gottshalk’s patrol route. You need to wait until he’s near one of the gas pumps.
- Cause the Explosion: Once he’s in position, shoot the gas pump repeatedly until it explodes. Make sure you’re at a safe distance!
Reward: Completing this challenge earns you the ZK-420S submachine gun.
