The Choices quest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From The Ashes is a mission that puts you right in the middle of a Resistance operation under attack by the RDA. You will team up with characters and face waves of enemies, and destroy aircraft. This guide will tell you about the quest, from starting the mission to escaping the Resistance cave and getting your rewards.
How to Start the Choices Quest
The quest starts when your character, So’lek, returns to the Resistance Safehouse to meet up with the other Sarentu and figure out the next steps. Head over to the cave entrance of the safehouse, where you will find Ri’nela and Nor waiting. A short cutscene will play between the three of them, giving you a glimpse of what’s coming next. Once the scene ends, simply follow Ri’nela into the cave to continue.
Defend the Resistance
Once you step into the Resistance cave, head over and talk to Alma to get the latest updates on what’s going on. You can also chat with other members of the Resistance if you like. After finishing your conversation with Alma, a story scene will play, and suddenly a loud alarm blares through the cave. The RDA soldiers are launching an attack on the safehouse.
Your job now is to help defend the Resistance alongside Ri’nela. Enemy soldiers have red markers above their heads, so they’re easy to spot and track. Your main focus is to shoot and defeat the incoming RDA forces before they break through.
But it’s not just ground troops, RDA aircraft will also join the fight, including Wyvern troop carriers. Make sure to target these first when they appear, because if you ignore them, they will drop even more enemies into the area, making the fight much harder.
Fighting the RDA
Halfway through the defence, a 1:30 timer will appear on your screen. Your goal is to overload the RDA beacon before a missile strike hits and destroys everything. Be ready, because enemies won’t stop coming; they will attack aggressively while you try to complete this task.
If you drop down to the ground floor during the chaos, you will encounter special enemies called Hellbound Tracker Elites. Take them out quickly before returning to the beacon objective. Once they’re dealt with, the fight will ramp up and get even more intense.
Another 1:30 timer will start, and it’s time to overload the beacon again. Keep fighting through the remaining enemies and make sure to complete the overload before the missile countdown reaches zero. Once the beacon is destroyed, a major story scene will play, moving the story forward.
Escaping the Area
In this scene, Alma is killed by the RDA, and Nor tries to stop the attackers by using his knife to break the door mechanism, but it malfunctions. Everything quickly falls apart. Once you regain control of your character, follow Ri’nela to escape the Resistance cave. Just keep an eye on the yellow marker on your screen to guide you out. Escaping the cave completes the Choices quest and rewards you with Ka’sem’s Assault Rifle.
