Black Myth: Wukong – Best Skills To Pick Up

Choosing the right skills in Black Myth: Wukong can make a huge difference in how easy or hard the game feels. As you level up, you will earn skill points that can be spent to unlock new abilities in different skill trees. With so many options, it can be tricky to know where to start. To help you out, we have picked some of the best skills that gave us the most benefits during our playthrough. These will make fights, especially tough boss battles, much easier to handle.

Best Skills To Pick Up in Black Myth: Wukong

As you level up in Black Myth: Wukong, you will earn skill points. You can spend these points in different skill trees to unlock new moves and abilities. The game offers six different skill sets, each with its own trees. Below we have listed down the skills that are useful during the game, but players can change their skills that suit their playstyle.

Simian Agility

The Simian Agility skill will reduce the stamina required to dodge attacks. This makes it a lot easier to handle boss fights, especially when you are dealing with fast‑moving enemies.

Robust Constitution

A robust Constitution increases your maximum health, letting you take more hits in battle.

It’s a great idea to put a good amount of points into this skill early on, as it makes those tough early fights much easier to handle.

Rampant Vigor

Rampant Vigour gives you a big boost to your stamina. Since the game doesn’t let you block or parry, dodging is your main way to avoid damage. The more stamina you have, the easier it is to keep dodging, and that can make all the difference when you’re trying to survive a tough boss fight.

Pillar Stance

Pillar Stance unlocks a new stance where the Destined One uses his staff to lift himself up and stand on top of it by holding the heavy attack button. This move helps you avoid ground attacks and gives you a better view to plan your next move. However, if your staff gets hit while you’re up there, it will drain more stamina to keep your balance.

Force Unbound

Heavy attacks hit hard, but they’re slow. On top of that, you normally can’t sprint while charging one, which makes you an easy target in the middle of a fight. With the Force Unbound skill, you can sprint while charging a heavy attack, so enemies won’t be able to take advantage of your slower movement.

Exhilaration

Exhilaration gives you a little bit of health back every time you spend a Focused Point. You usually use these points to power up your heavy attacks, but thanks to this skill, you will also heal a bit while doing it. It might not seem like much, but that extra healing can really help when you’re up against a tough boss.

Stagnation

Stagnation makes your attacks hit harder on enemies that are immobilised. It also makes the next time you immobilise them last even longer. This skill can be a huge help when you are up against tough bosses.
