Best Bows in Oblivion Remastered

There are many legendary bows in Oblivion Remastered that are special because of their enchantments and the kind of power they have. Of these, the Hatred’s Soul bow is commonly regarded as one of the best. The Frostwyrm Bow is for frost damage, and the Shadowhunt Bow has multiple effects, such as health and magicka damage. In this article, we have given the best bows in Oblivion Remastered and how to acquire them.

Hatred’s Soul

Hatred’s Soul is a leveled, enchanted Daedric bow that you can obtain in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It is found inside the Chorrol Oblivion Gate, buried in a sunken tower together with Hatred’s Heart.

As you approach the Chorrol Oblivion Gate, you’ll see the sunken tower just behind you. Because the tower has sunk, there’s no ordinary door – rather, you’ll have to locate an underground cave system referred to as the Fume Vaults. A way into the Fume Vaults exists on islands north or northwest of the sunken tower.

How to Get Hatred’s Soul

To get to it, you’ll need to cross over mini lava streams and destroyed bridges. Search for a huge fallen metal gate that you can walk across like a bridge – it will take you to the island where the secret entrance is. The Fume Vaults door won’t appear on your map and stands right at lava level. Travel to the north end of the island, go around a little round lava pond, and descend over a large boulder – you will see the entrance just to your right.

It’s advisable to acquire Hatred’s Soul when you are level 19 or above because this is the most powerful bow in the game. The level 15 – 18 variant is also strong but a little weaker, and the level 11 – 14 variant is roughly as powerful as a standard Daedric bow. Aside from its power, Hatred’s Soul is also lighter than the normal Daedric bow.

If you fail to pick it up the first time you travel through the Chorrol Gate or receive a lower-level version, don’t worry – there is still an opportunity to obtain it. Traveling through random non-quest Oblivion gates provides you with a one-in-seven chance of appearing in the same world in which Hatred’s Soul can be obtained. Precisely, there is a yet better shot behind the gate in Fort Sutch, with an odds of one-in-four chance. Because it always generates in the same world of Oblivion, several copies can be gathered.

Frostwyrm Bow

Frostwyrm is a strong enchanted bow that you can locate in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As per Agnar’s Journal, it was once owned by Svenja Snow-Song, who died a tragic death at the hands of the Uderfrykte Matron. After you kill the monster, you can collect Frostwyrm from the carcass.

The Frostwyrm Bow is available through the defeat of the Uderfrykte Matron, a frost troll-like monster also referred to as the Horror of the Dive Rock. The legendary beast has a rich history that lore lovers can explore, giving the battle an added level of complexity. To find her, head south of the Dive Rock Point of Interest (POI) in the northeastern part of the map, where you’ll spot a camp. Approaching this camp will unlock the Dive Rock POI.

How to Get Frostwyrm Bow

After unlocking the POI, go towards the camp and turn left, and walk downhill slightly. The Uderfrykte Matron never moves from the same spot, close to the corpse of Agnar. Uderfrykte Matron can be difficult to spot because it gets camouflaged in the snow. She possesses a huge health pool, so expect an intense fight.

For the battle, it is advisable to employ ranged attacks. This tactic helps you easily knock her down from a distance. Also, if you climb on raised rocks, she will not be able to reach you, and you can easily keep her at a distance while inflicting damage from above. Once you kill the Uderfrykte Matron, loot the body to acquire the Frostwyrm Bow and other loot.

Shadowhunt Bow

To get the Shadowhunt Bow in Oblivion Remastered, you will need to finish the Dark Brotherhood quest called The Lonely Wanderer. You will be able to get the quest as the fifth contract on the Dark Brotherhood questline when you have been initiated into the organization and completed the initial four contracts awarded to you by Vicente Valtieri. When you’ve reached this level, Ocheeva will put you on task to kill Faelian, a High Elf Skooma addict.

Faelian can be located in the Imperial City, but his movements are confusing, making him difficult to track. He stays in the Tiber Septim Hotel in the Talos Plaza District, though he only visits sometimes at night.

To find him, you’ll need to gather information from the locals in the Elven Gardens District. Upon talking to the inhabitants, you’ll find that Faelian spends most of his time at the hotel but sometimes departs for a different place, Lorkmir’s House. You find the house initially to be locked, but upon advancing in the quest, you will find yourself permitted to enter and pursue him indoors.

How to Get Shadowhunt Bow

To get the Shadowhunt bow, make sure Faelian is assassinated in a private, secluded spot. Public places, especially in the area surrounding Captain Adamus Phillida, could potentially ruin the secrecy of the Brotherhood. To have Faelian trust you long enough for a private meeting, you’ll have to offer him Skooma, which will then make him take you to his hideout. This hideout is the ideal location for a secure and undetected kill.

Once you’ve successfully killed Faelian in the chosen safe area, you’ll be rewarded with Shadowhunt, a powerful magic bow. Shadowhunt has four strong effects on it: Damage Health, Damage Magicka, Turn Undead, and Weakness to Poison. These capabilities make Shadowhunt a very valuable weapon, adding to your fighting skills in Oblivion Remastered.
