Xardas Tower’s chests are some of the most rewarding locks in Gothic 1 Remake. They hold valuable loot that you’ll want for later chapters. Chest 1 Location
After reaching the Xardas Tower, to meet Xardas himself you’ll be tasked to collect the hearts of Fire Golem, Ice Golem and Stone Golem. Once you’ve collected all 3 hearts and offer them to the demon henchman of Xardas, you’ll obtain a rune that removes the barrier that blocks the spiral stairs. After removing the barrier, you’ll find the first chest under the spiral stairs.
Chest 1 Lockpick Combination
Use the following lockpick combination to unlock the chest-
- Move the 5th plate to the left 6 times.
- Then move the 1st plate to the left 3 times.
- Now move the 6th plate to the right 3 times.
- Then move the 2nd plate to the right 2 times.
- Select and move the 4th plate to the left once.
- And finally move the 5th plate to the left once.
Chest 1 Rewards
Unlocking the chest will reward you the following items- Elixir of Healing, Elixir of Magic Energy, Extract of Healing, and Extract of Magic Energy.
Chest 2 Location
The second chest is located in the Library area of the Xardas Tower which is located on the next level. Use the spiral stairs to reach the next level and head inside the library and you can find the chest near the table.
Chest 2 Lockpick Combination
Unlock the chest by following the give below instructions-
- Move the 6th plate to the right 6 times.
- Then move the 3rd plate to the right 3 times.
- Now move the 2nd plate to the right 4 times.
- Next, move the 1st plate to the left 3 times.
- Then move the 4th plate to the left 2 times.
- And finally move the 5th plate to the right once.
Chest 2 Rewards
Unlocking the chest will grant you a few crafting materials like obsidian, feathers, wood and other sellable loot like gold, ruby etc.
Chest 3 Location
The final chest of the Xardas Tower is located in Xardas’ chamber, which is at the very top of the tower. You’ll find the chest at the back of the room.
