While exploring Shellwood in Hollow Knight: Silksong, Greyroot inside a small hut will ask you to make a wish and begin a sidequest called the Rite of the Pollip Wish. Your goal is to find six purple flowers. Some are easy to find, while others need wall jumps or careful movement. This guide will help you find all six hearts so you can finish the quest.
Rite of the Pollip Wish
Head towards the exit to Bellhart. Once you reach Shellwood, jump up and to the left to reach a higher ledge. In the next room, you will see a small hut; head inside. Walk forward and you will meet a strange character named Greyroot, who rises out of a cocoon and starts speaking in mysterious riddles.
Talk to Greyroot at least twice. Eventually, you will get the option to “Promise Wish”; this is how you accept the sidequest. Once you do, your goal is to go out and find six purple flowers, which are called Pollip Hearts.
All Pollip Heart Locations
Greyroot will give you the Pollip Pouch as a prize if you have gathered all six Pollip Hearts and returned. One tool you can add to your crest is the Pollip Pouch. It does this by giving your other tools that support it poison damage. You may need to unequip something else to make room for it because it uses a blue slot.
1st Pollip Heart
The first one is easy to find; it’s very close to where you started the quest. Head to the northeast corner of the large central room and climb all the way up using the platforms. There you will see a big purple flower surrounded by smaller ones. Hit it a few times until it drops the Pollip Heart.
2nd Pollip Heart
Now go to the southeast room, just before the Bellfort exit. Climb up and look to the right, you will see a wall covered in purple flowers. Use your wall jump to climb up to a small ledge. There’s another large purple flower waiting; hit it to get the second heart.
3rd Pollip Heart
For this one, go to the room that’s almost directly above the quest’s starting point. From the shown location, jump left, then float down onto a platform just below. Once again, attack the purple flower here to grab your third Pollip Heart.
4th Pollip Heart
Now move northeast to the spot shown on your map. Head right and use the floating platforms above the water. Then wall-jump to the very top. Follow the path left and then a little right, and you will come across another flower with your fourth heart.
5th Pollip Heart
Next, go to a high-ceiling room in the northeast part of the map. Look for some white bulbs hanging from vines. To reach the top-left corner where the flower is, use your attacks to bounce off those bulbs and mix in some wall jumps. When you hit the flower, the heart will fall to the bottom of the room, so get ready to chase it down.
6th Pollip Heart
The last one is in a small passageway between Shellwood and Greymoor, near the top. Go through the middle exit to enter a hidden room full of spikes. Move carefully, jump over the hazards, and when the path splits, take the lower path. At the bottom-left corner, you will find the final flower. Grab the sixth and final Pollip Heart here.
