All New Games Announced in The Game Awards 2025, Release Date, and More

The Game Awards of 2025 revealed a full list of new games, including brand-new games, major sequels, and updates from some of the largest studios in the industry. From big RPGs and action-packed adventures to horror games and returning fan-favourite franchises, this year’s show covered almost every genre. Here’s an article on every game revealed at the event, along with the dates of their release, platforms, and a quick look at what each one is about.

All Games Revealed in The Game Awards 2025

The Game Awards 2025 marked the end of the year and celebrated all the best games released this year. It was Geoff Keighley’s twelfth time hosting the awards show, and it was held at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles with a live audience on December 11, 2025. Below is a list of all the new game announcements from the event, together with their release dates and important details.

Phantom Blade 0

Release Date: 9 September 2026

The game is a role-playing game with an action element developed by S-GAME, using Unreal Engine 5, and will be released on 9 September 2026. Presenting a dual single-player and multiplayer experience, Soulframe Liang is the director and producer, while Michael Chang is responsible for the visuals and Caisheng Bo for the audio. It will be available for PlayStation 5 and Windows.

The plot centres around Soul, a top-level assassin employed by a mysterious organisation known as The Order. After being falsely charged with the murder of their leader, he finds himself hunted down by the police. Soul receives serious wounds but escapes death since a magical healer offers him a temporary cure, one that will only let him live for 66 days. With the countdown started, he sets out on a desperate quest to find out who set him up and why.

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is the next major instalment in the Ace Combat series, which has been around for a long time, and it comes right after Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. It is being developed by Bandai Namco Aces and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, and the release date is set for 2026. The game will have a full campaign mode and will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.

In the new game, you will take on the role of a pilot called “Rex,” who is stationed in the Central Usea Navy and is serving on the carrier Endurance. Saros

SAROS is the latest instalment of Housemarque and is going to be the next PlayStation-only title published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Not only this, but also SAROS is the first project of the company using the Unreal Engine 5. The game, under the direction of Gregory Louden and with the music by Sam Slater, is an individual-player action adventure being released on PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2026.

The story of the game tells about Carcosa, a distant and deserted colony that is under a strange and everlasting eclipse. You will play as Arjun Devraj, a skilled Soltari Enforcer who is on a personal mission. He will go through difficult terrains and fight with mysterious enemies, and the only thing that will keep him going is finding the one he loves the most, no matter the price he has to pay.

Lords of the Fallen II

Lords of the Fallen 2 is the sequel to the successful 2023 action RPG, which is characterised by the return of the series’ dark-fantasy, gothic, and horror-inspired universe. The sequel is being created by Hexworks and published by CI Games, and its release date is set for 2026. Gamers will be able to play it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows.

Lords of the Fallen is a dark fantasy action RPG in which you visit a kingdom that is about to collapse. As the world is torn apart, the dead and the living are merging, causing a dangerous and scary area. You will be moving through castles lit by moonlight, ruined temples, and war-torn territories, but always with the uncertainty of what kind of threat is hiding just around the corner.

The fight is going to be very tough and fast, just like the soulslike games from which it draws its inspiration and in which timing and strategy are the main factors. You can develop your character in many ways, choosing between swords, magic, or ranged attacks to destroy the horrifying enemies and the bosses. As the possessor of the Umbral lamp, you can shift between the two worlds, and each world has its own secrets and horrors. This power enables you to discover the hidden routes and treasures, but at the same time, it puts you in the face of even more dangerous threats that hide in the dark, waiting for you.

007 First Light

007 First Light is a game developed and published by IO Interactive. This game is directed by Hakan Abrak, with Rasmus Poulsen contributing the art, and The Flight giving the music. The writing team consists of Martin Emborg and Michael Vogt, while 007 First Light uses the Glacier engine for its graphics and is set for a release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

007 First Light brings a completely new story of James Bond that is inspired by Ian Fleming’s novels as well as the legendary films. The game introduces a young and naive Bond, Anthony Gibson, who is entrusted with a rather difficult MI6 assignment. It is a story of the hero’s journey where the protagonist gets not only the mission but also the famous “00” title that comes with it.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst

Tomb Raider: Catalyst is the new game in the classic Tomb Raider franchise, developed by Crystal Dynamics and powered by Unreal Engine 5. The game presents a new version of Lara Croft that connects her previous adventures with the new ones. The company behind its development is Crystal Dynamics, and Amazon Games is its publisher. And Tomb Raider: Catalyst will provide a modern, visually impressive game experience with Unreal Engine 5.

This game still uses the “Unified Timeline,” which is a plot that unites all the elements from the different times that the Tomb Raider series has taken place. The timeline started with Netflix’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft and went to Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which is a modern reinterpretation of the original game. Catalyst will most probably be the continuation of the narrative after the disappearance of the Tomb Raider: Underworld events.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a game that combines various gameplay elements into the world of the Dark Knight, with combat and mainly focusing on solving puzzles, among others, in the third-person perspective. The game, which was developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Warner Bros. Games, can be played on next-generation consoles like Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and on personal computers (Windows). Unlike the Lego video games of the past that included vast catalogues of characters, this one will feature only seven heroes: Batman, Jim Gordon, Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.

All these characters come with their unique skills and gadgets, like Catwoman with her whip or Gordon with his foam-spray gun. The story is set in a thoroughly recreated Lego world of Gotham City, where the players will be allowed to do anything they want, such as battling their enemies and enjoying fighting that is similar to the Batman: Arkham series. Besides that, players can make the Batcave their own by adding cars such as the Batmobile and Batcycle, different Batsuits, trophies and other collectables collected during the adventure.

Gears of War: E-Day

Gears of War: E-Day is a third-person shooter game that tells the story of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago. The game is developed by The Coalition, who developed it with the help of People Can Fly, and it is published by Xbox Game Studios, the latter being the one who created the game using Unreal Engine 5. Matt Searcy is the director, and Aryan Hanbeck is the artist. E-Day will be released for Xbox Series X/S and Windows.

The gameplay starts over several days when mankind encounters an unexpected and overpowering apocalypse. The story is very personal and emotional, revealing the ways that common people, who are not prepared and are frightened to death, fight to survive. E-Day, similar to the early Gears games, is in the horror genre, with the Locust redesigned to be much more terrifying than ever before. The players will also be shown the making of the legendary Lancer Assault Rifle for the first time.

Control: Resonant

Remedy Entertainment is the developer and publisher of Control Resonant, and Mikael Kasurinen is the director. The game is powered by the Northlight Engine, and it is going to be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. The game is going to be about the strange and mysterious world the series is known for, with deeper powers and even higher stakes.

Control Resonant is an action RPG with a story-based sequel to the 2019 game, Control. The storyline now revolves around Dylan Faden, the first game’s character. Dylan Faden is gifted with very dangerous superhuman powers, and he is the one facing the new threat coming from the universe. Which is warping the whole reality and putting human beings at risk. He has to confront the situation and prove himself.

Order of the Sinking Star

Order of the Sinking Star is an adventure genre game that Thekla, Inc. has developed, and Arc Games is the one that published it. The plot of Order of the Sinking Star is about a queen from another world, who survives a rebellion but is then mysteriously teleported to a strange world full of puzzles. The queen is not sure who has saved her, or why, but she starts to walk through an upper world of puzzle zones that are linked by themes, and each of them has its own mechanics.

As she goes even farther in the game, which has more than 1,400 challenges in total, she finds out about the hidden paths, mixed-mechanic areas, and secrets that lead to the multiple possible endings. The story is about her journey through this mysterious world, as she slowly comes to understand who built it, why she was brought there, and how solving its toughest puzzles may be her only path back to reclaiming her kingdom.

Resident Evil: Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem is a single-player survival horror game which is developed and published by Capcom. The game is directed by Koshi Nakanishi, with the help of Tomonori Takano for the art and Masachika Kawata and Masato Kumazawa for the production. The game is powered by the RE Engine and will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

In Resident Evil Requiem, you take on the role of Grace Ashcroft, an FBI analyst who is being hunted by a horrifying monster. This creature is like Mr X or Lady Dimitrescu from previous Resident Evil games, and it is always on your trail, even at times crawling through walls and ceilings just to reach you. In order to stay alive, you will have to move slowly and quietly, by crouching, sneaking, and hiding under tables or other objects. You can use glass bottles as a distraction for the creature, but it is also a bit risky, as using your lighter to light up the dark areas may attract the monster to you.

Pragmata

Pragmata is an upcoming action-adventure game, developed and published by Capcom, directed by Cho Yonghee, and produced by Naoto Oyama and Edvin Edsö. Built using the RE Engine, Pragmata will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.

The game takes you to a quiet, abandoned research station on the Moon. Here, a space traveller named Hugh and an android girl named Diana suddenly become targets of the station’s dangerous AI. With the threat growing around them, the two must rely on each other, fight back against the AI, and find a way to make it safely back to Earth.

Divinity

Larian Studios surprised everyone at The Game Awards 2025 by announcing a brand-new Divinity game. According to CEO Swen Vincke, this will be their biggest and most ambitious RPG so far. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

EXODUS

Release Date: 2027

Exodus is an upcoming single-player role-playing game being developed by Archetype Entertainment and published by Wizards of the Coast. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. It’s directed by Chris King and produced by James Ohlen and Chad Robertson, with a story written by sci-fi authors Peter F. Hamilton and Drew Karpyshyn. With a strong focus on storytelling and modern visuals, Exodus is shaping up to be a story-driven RPG made for current-generation platforms.

The story of the game revolves around a group called the Travellers, who are on a mission to find powerful ancient relics known as Remnants. As you explore the galaxy, you will come across both human and alien factions, each with its own goals and motivations. Along the way, you will meet many characters whose friendships, conflicts, and shifting loyalties shape how the story unfolds. The choices you make matter, as your decisions can change political situations, affect personal relationships, and influence the future of the galaxy itself.

ONTOS

ONTOS is an upcoming action-adventure indie game developed and published by Frictional Games. It’s the first entry in the ONTOS franchise and is currently set to release in 2026. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Aditi Amani is the estranged daughter of a man surrounded by secrets. When she travels to Samsara to uncover the truth about her father’s past, she doesn’t get the answers she expects. Instead, she discovers a rundown moon hotel that has been turned into something far more disturbing.

Coven of the Chicken Foot

Coven of the Chicken Foot is an adventure game, which is yet to be released, from Wildflower Interactive, which is taking care of both development and publishing. Although the game doesn’t have a release date for now. The game is expected to be launched on PC.

The heroes who were victors first cleared the dungeons and then defeated the monsters. Gertie, for a long time, waits for the moment when she can show her worth to the coven, and she is very much determined to face the Heroes and their self-confidence. Moreover, she won’t be going solo; she will be helped by a strange and unexpected creature.

The game is made for constant play with many different options to create an ideal team. If you and your team can learn from your failures and adapt, you might just have a chance to save the world.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic

The game is being developed by Arcanaut Studios and published by Lucasfilm Games, with Casey Hudson directing the project. It’s built using Unreal Engine 5 and is coming to Windows as a single-player action role-playing experience. The story takes place during the Old Republic era of the Star Wars universe, and you play as a Force user living in that time.

Bradley the Badger

Decrepit is a first-person action game with tough, souls-like combat, where you’re trying to escape a ruined, cursed castle. Every time you die, you lose your equipment and get thrown back into the dungeons, waking up in a different cell each run. The only things you carry forward are what you’ve learned from past attempts and any gear you manage to scavenge from fallen enemies along the way.

Free Shepherd

Highguard

Highguard is a thrilling, free-to-play game created and released by Wildlight Entertainment. Players can expect fast-paced fighting and exciting PvP matches. Highguard is a PvP raid shooter allowing you to be a Warden, an arcane gunslinger who goes into the battlefield to conquer a mythical continent. Rival teams of Wardens will fight with you to get the mighty artefact called the Shieldbreaker, then the fight will be taken to their base, and it will be destroyed.

Gang of Dragon

Gang of Dragon is one of the new action-adventure games by Nagoshi Studio Inc., which is responsible for the game’s development as well as its release. It is being released soon and will deliver a thrilling, narrative-driven experience.

No Law is an upcoming action-adventure RPG developed by Neon Giant and published by KRAFTON, Inc. The release date hasn’t been announced yet. In No Law, you play as Grey Harker, a battle-hardened veteran of both war and the streets of Port Desire. After nearly losing his life on his last mission, Harker decides to leave the military behind and pursue a life of peace. But peace doesn’t last long, and soon comes the trouble.

Set in a neon-soaked, lawless port city, No Law is a first-person, story-driven cyber-noir shooter. As you explore the city’s dark corners and uncover its hidden secrets, you will confront its shadowy inhabitants and fight to reclaim what was stolen from you.

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred

Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred from Blizzard Entertainment, which does both the development and the publishing of the DLC. It is the next story in the Diablo series, presenting new adventures and challenges. The campaign allows players the opportunity to have a final fight with the main Evil Mephisto. Invincible VS

Invincible VS is a fighting and adventure game created by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games. It is one of the games in the Invincible franchise and takes the very dark, superhero-populated world of the series to turn it into an extreme fighting experience for the fans.

Invincible VS is a quick, 3v3 battle game with several players from the Invincible universe. You create a group of three heroes or villains, and the mortal fight begins, using some of the outstanding characters from the series, all while fighting in the top locations from the universe. The game also has different ways of playing, including a movie-like story mode with a completely new story written by one of the writers from the animated show.

Solasta 2

Solasta II is an adventure RPG with strategy elements, developed and published by Tactical Adventures. The game, which is part of the Solasta series, will be made available for Early Access and will use a mixture of classic role-playing, tactical combat, and indie genres to open a new path for the fans of the series.

You will have the chance to create and command a group of four adventurers who will travel to the faraway continent of Neokos, the route being determined by their families’ history. A new and untrained team of heroes departs from home and goes to unexplored territories, aiming to demonstrate their worth and obtain forgiveness during their journey, years after the Sorak threats have been defeated.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is an action-adventure game made by Sabre Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. The game allows you to join forces with three other players or go online to play with commandos for an exciting co-op battle. Reviving fallen teammates, swapping ammo, guarding each other, and experiencing the wild mix-up together while everything keeps going crazy.

AUDIOMECH: Your Music Transformed is a lively indie game developed and published by Dylan Fitterer. The game converts any music or sound playing on your computer into the core of the game. You can stream music, use MP3 files, or even connect your mic; any sound is fine. During the game, you change among three various mech shapes, where each is powered by a different part of the music, and all your actions happen in synchronisation with the audio from your computer.

Stupid Never Dies

Stupid Never Dies is an RPG, action-adventure, and GPTRACK50 Inc. both developed and published it. The plot is set in a weird monster-dominated dungeon world, and you play as Davy, a shy zombie stuck at the very bottom of monster society. You will face and fight others, level up your character, collect strange and powerful items, all while working toward your goal of reviving Julia, a human girl.

Out of Words

Release Date: 2026

Out of Words is a platform adventure game that will be released in 2026 and developed by Kong Orange and WiredFly with Epic Games Publishing for distribution. The story revolves around Kurt and Karla, who, for some unknown reason, have become mute. The heroes go on an adventure into the imaginative realm of Vokabulantis, where they are put to trials that test their bond and even force them to rely on one another. The game combines teamwork, emotional ties, and personal development as each character struggles to regain his/her voice and, at the same time, learns to communicate with the other better.
